Today I received a nano kit for my Kayfun. It was already put together (SS ring top and bottom attached to the glass tank) so I decided I wanted to take it apart so I could clean it before using.

So I took it apart with no problem, the top first then the bottom. It went smooth so I put it back together to see how it would go because this is my 1st time dealing with Kayfuns and tanks (been using drippers since I started vaping) this is all new to me. So I put the top ring 1st no problem then as I'm trying to fit the bottom ring in, I'm about more than half way in, the damn glass tank cracks on me right down the middle! There's a thin line on my tank now ...!

Mind you this is press fitted with o rings so you'd have to press down the living ..... out of it. *sigh*

Ok so my question is how do you guys take apart the glass tanks with the SS rings that are press fitted w/o breaking the damn thing.

Is there a certain way? Do you lube it? (That's what she said.) Twist it while it's going in? (That's what she said.)

Lol please help out a first time Kayfuner. I would love to find out what all the hype is about and I'm excited as this is my first RBA/RTA.

Thanks in advance! I love you guys. [emoji16]

Ouch! Which kit did you get? Fasttech, Science of Vaping, Rainbow Heaven, or Tarsius? Spectrumtanks.com may have the right sized glass for replacing it.

As for preventing it in the future, I use a teeny bit or vaseline on the o-rings. If I'm out and about and I don't have any, I just make sure the o-rings are wet first.

Aww dang .. this why I changed my mind about getting the quartz nano from FT. Based on feedback, the glass is very fragile, several people actually received theirs broken. Its too bad because I really want one, but I may have to get a more expensive version.

For press fitting most things with o rings, lubing the o rings with some VG is always a good idea.
