Curious if any of you have gone to the Kanger Aerotank from the Nautilus Aspire tank? I have two Nautilus tanks and I have to say it is real hit and miss when I change the coils out. Sometimes I will have a clean hit and no burnt taste and other times it is burnt tasting for the life of the coil. A local vape shop told me to switch to the Kanger Aerotank. They did not have it in stock so I ordered it to try. Yes I am doing the whole prep scenario with the drops and hitting it 4 to 5 times before hitting the button. He told me it is common with the Nautilus, but not with the Kanger Aerotank. Any feedback?

I have both the Nautilus (full 5ml size) and the Aerotank mega and out of those two tanks I prefer the Aerotank as it gives me a cleaner flavor and their air channel is substantially easier to hit on when opened all the way. The only times that I went back to the Nautilus was when I knew I was going to be leaving my mod in the car all day where it would heat up as the Aerotank doesn't take kindly to hot weather and will be prone to flooding where as my Nautilus will not exhibit the flooding from sitting in the hot car all day.

I can only remember one time that I bought a pack of coils for the Nautilus and all of them were duds. They simply would not wick up enough e-liquid and so they all burned, I even left one of them sitting overnight and the first hit in the morning and it was burnt taste. Beside that pack I can't recall getting coils for either one of them that were better or worse than the other. I remember making the switch to the Aspire bottom verticle coil and didn't notice any difference between that and the old style either.

Now I ditched them both and use the Kangertech subtank mini, sometimes as a subOhm tank with the 05 coil and sometimes as a regular tank with the 1.2Ohm coil. Works the best out of all three so far for me.

Having worked in a vape shop back in 2014, I can say with some confidence that you may find some inconsistency in the coil head quality for both manufacturers from time to time. Although the quality of clearomizers and heads have improved from 2 - 3 years ago, batches still suffer from this occasionally.

This is one of the reasons that I began using rebuildables exclusively about a year ago. Now I don't have to depend upon inconsistent quality from a Chinese factory. I have no one to blame but myself if my vape sucks because I am the one making the wick and coil. Saving a ton of money doing this, too.

I own both. Won't touch the Aerotank ever again. Flavors are horribly muted, airflow is a joke, and while the coils last longer they also seriously restrict how think your juice can be. Using a 50/50 juice in an Aerotank is really pushing the limits and 60/40 PG/VG or higher is really what it's designed for. Plus it's really common for juice to leak through the bottom of the coil which can result in not only annoying leaking out the airhole but misfires as well. Then there is the base that can separate easily and if it ever does you may as well just buy a new base.

With the Nautilus, since the BVC coils were introduced I've only had one coil that I can say didn't work right. Other than that one coil I've had nothing but good times with it. FAR better flavor, much better airflow, and much better vapor production. No complaints with the tank at all really.

Reporting back....I've been using the Kanger Aerotank for a almost 2 weeks now and I really like it. Little to no priming when changing the coils and I have yet to experience a burnt taste yet. So happy with it I purchased another one and gave my Nautilus Aspire tanks to a friend. VAPE ON!!!!!
Can't go wrong with Kanger. Next step subtank mini!

So tell us the details, why did you choose the AeroTank over the Nautilus? Do you find it's easier to hit, offers more air flow, less muted flavors/cleaner taste or what?

One of the main reasons mentioned in my first post was the inconsistent burn taste. When using the Nautilus Aspire (NA) I would sometimes get a burnt taste after changing coils. I would do all the prep work I was showed by the vape shop and it was getting to be hit or miss. I've already changed the coils a couple of times on the Kanger Aerotank (KA) with no burnt taste issues at all. The other reason was both NA tanks leaked no matter how I adjusted them. I would get those popping/gurgle hits with the NA and have not experienced it at all with the KA. In my opinion it's just an overall better tank system. You can also get the KA coils with organic cotton now and it enhances the taste big time. You get a cleaner flavor from your e juices.

I used to use the Aero-Tank but switched to Aspires

Having said that, my 3 Aero-Tanks (I was persistent and broke two) were the original ones not the newer ones which are apparently improved.

Whilst the Aero-Tank gave me some enjoyable vapes and wasn’t utterly awful, I always thought the Aspire was a much better designed product.

Eg to give some comparisons

The Aero-Tank had rubber rings around the tank presumably to stop the glass rubbing against the metal parts, they just fell off and were impossible to put back on.

The Aspire has them built in to the base and top part so no worries.

The aero-tank had a stupid metal bar going across the gap to fill up with E-liquid. Which made filling with juice and not getting it down the middle difficult

The Aspire has a huge gap making filling easy peasy

The Aero-tank had a fiddly air-hole adjustment which got stuck

The Aspire has one that clicks into place which is much easier

The Aero-Tank leaked……all the time

I don’t recall the Aspire ever leaking

And last but not least most importantly, the Aspire gives me a great and enjoyable vape more consistant I find than the Aero

So all in all, I much prefer the Aspire
