I recently purchased 2 nautilus Minis from 2 different venders.
Both checked out to be authentic.

Oddity #1: All the coils (4) were marked 1.8 ohm.
When I measured them with my new Eleaf Digital Ohmmeter & Voltmeter, (an accuracy of +/- 0.4%),
they showed 2.07, 2.01, and 1.99 (+ one I burned out).

Oddity #2: All 3 new coils tasted nasty for the 1st couple dozen puffs. One I haven't yet checked.
Anyone else noticed this? Is this due to the new wicking material?

Did you let the juice sit in the tank for a few minutes before vaping? The BVC heads need some time (I let mine sit for five minutes) for the wick to absorb the liquid.

My 1.6 heads read either 1.6 or 1.7 on my MVP. My 1.8 heads read 1.8 or 1.9. Never any variance beyond that.

Also, just because the code checks out on the Aspire site doesn't necessarily mean it is authentic (unfortunately). What is the tray inside the box made of? If it's anything other than paperboard, it's a fake. Also, a lot of the fakes have a typo on the back with "produced" spelled "prodiced". There should also be a "new" style Aspire hologram sticker on the box. The sticker and tray are shown in the link below.

I just got 2 full-sized Nautiluses. They each came with a 1.6 and a 1.8 ohm BDC. I ordered 1.8 ohm BVC coils separately. The BDC checks out on my MVP as 1.6. The BVC actually checks in at 2.0. I'm not "overly" concerned, since I build my regular coils to 1.8-1.9 ohms anyway. I did not notice any funky taste with either coil (until I put funky juice in the one  Did a pseudo dry-burn on the BVC coil to make that nastiness go away....)

Inswva: both have paperstock, no typo, and holograms, but they're different from each other.

What are the differences? (edit: upon reading your post again I'm assuming the stickers are different? Aspire only started using the new hologram sticker last month so if one of them doesn't the new version, it may be older stock)

FWIW, I tested several of my used BVC heads this morning with my DMM. All the 1.6 units rang up at 1.6 or 1.7 and 1.8 at 1.8 or 1.9 (after subtracting lead resistance which varied from .1 to .2 depending on how still I was able to hold the leads together). So, either your tester isn't accurate to the stated +/- 0.4% or the heads are slightly out of spec. I wouldn't be terribly concerned about such a small variance your heads are showing but I'd want to test them via another method to compare against your reader.

And, on a side note, it looks like the ohm reader on my MVP is pretty accurate.

All of my 1.8 BVC coils have read from 2.0-2.2 ohms on my Provari and they have worked great so I wouldn't worry about that. When I put a new BVC coil in I prime it by covering the adjustable airflow with my finger and sucking on the drip tip without actually firing it up until I see at least 2-3 bubbles rise to the top of the tank. You can also put a few drops into the top of the coil before you fully assemble the tank. I have found that the priming to be more necessary with higher VG ratio juices. With higher PG ratio juices you should be able to just let it sit for 5-10 minutes and it will prime itself. Hope this helps and enjoy your new clearo!

Fattyj, got it right, prime the coil section with a few drops, after filling the tank, WAIT. Longer the better, I go 15 minutes, but I always get funky hits on new coils, no matter the brand. A day later, "break-in" is when I judge em, and I like the Aspire atties, both dual and single coils. I run the mini at home and Aspire Clearos on the road. 100% VG does not keep up the flow, so I go for 50/50 now. And while I Vape at low wattage for flavor, the VG has become a bit heavy on the lungs, much better with it mixed with PG. My ohm readings are the same as others reported already.

Inswva, the one halogram looks like the one in your link. The other is a gold circle with 5 stars on the bottom, and either letters or numbers on the top.
Overlaid across the middle of the circle is a gold banner that says "aspire".

My Eleaf ohm/volt reader is designed specifically for ecigs as it has posts (no leads) to attach a battery and a tank/coil.

The one without the new sticker is likely just older stock. No worries.

You meter is probably fine. Likely, it's the coils. I'd check with a DMM or another meter or a mod that reads ohms just for my own curiosity.
