Hi all,

Last night I went to change juice in my Nautilus Mini. I emptied, took it apart, rinsed everything out, let sit for a bit, dried it out, filed with new juice, let sit and primed. Went to fire it up and no vapor! ...? Tried 3 different coils and still no vapor. I changed out the base with my better half's mini base and boom it vaped normal with all 3 of the coils I tried in mine. What gives? Is my mini dead? Anything else I can try? It's only less than 3 weeks old and had been working great. Darn it!

Check the base and look inside where you screw in your replacement coils - you will or will not notice a tiny spring in the middle - if its missing or mangled this could cause the contact issue and no vapor - let us know.

Make the jump to RBA - get you a Kayfun clone and have some fun! smiley-laughing001.gif

Update - after reading a post on here about rust on their mini, I took a much closer look inside the base of my mini and I could see that there was definitely rust covering the spring. I assume this was from washing it and not drying it properly. Gave it a good cleaning with a q-tip and I am back in business!

I wish I were ready to go up to a RBA but don't have the confidence or know how at the moment. Lord knows I don't need another hobby...

Thanks!

Interestingly enough both the security codes on the 2 I purchased check out as authentic. I had been washing the base in between tank fills so maybe my dreadfully hard water had something to do with it. It was just surface rust apparently and is all clean now (I haven't put it in water again and don't plan to). I don't know. ..maybe just a fluke.

Bloody clones! Real ones DON'T rust.

Very True! But one point to note is that I thought mine was "rusting" as it had red stains down on the spring area, so I popped the pin/spring out and it was just burnt / oxidized juice that cleaned right off with rubbing alcohol. I suspect what some people think is rust is just gunk buildup.

You can take the spring out and put it back it without issue on them? I never messed with my Mini much since its been perfect day one.

That's certainly a real possibility. I didn't examine that closely. It's only a month old but I'll keep my eye on it.
