Nautilus Mini-how to fix airflow

I just purchased a nautilus mini with the ring airflow. I find the 1.8 hole not big enough. Any solutions? Has anyone drilled it bigger with good success?

Very serious, already have a rebuild which I love, just wanted a tank for on the go; they recommended the mini, but its not comparable at all. Any recommendations?
