I've figured out how to fix dry hits, and some other problems with this glorious, but horribly finicky beast. But no matter what I do, I still get a lot of money-shots: where the tank spits out liquid a good foot plus into the air, occasionally getting on my face. I have 3 Mini's and this happens on all of them, as well as the big boy Nauty as well.

I'm using BVC coils, from a reliable vendor, and I've tried the tanks with various batteries, V and W (usually I vape between 8-10 W, currently on an istick.)

I've tried keeping the tank screwed in, but not too tight, and I always keep the airflow open all the way. Different drip tips, different liquids, and I'm running out of ideas. Is it possible that I'm vaping wrong? I've tried to hit harder, or loosen up my lips on the tip to allow some air into my mouth as I draw, but that doesn't seem to be stopping it. My friend who also has my same setup, thinks it's because I fire the battery off a second before putting it into my mouth. But I worry about it shooting down my throat now, which might be creating a self fulfilling prophecy.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions, if you've encountered this, and fixed this issue.

Now these are the responses I was looking for :)

Yeah, I've been trying to draw first, and then fire since last night. It does seem to be helping so far....just seems odd that it's required. I guess I'll have to re-teach myself if this is the only solution. I'll keep you all updated. Thanks again everyone.

In my experience, firing before putting the atomizer to your mouth usually results in a harsher hit. Not exactly sure why? Maybe because, without the airflow of you suckin' away, the coils/vapor maybe heat up too much? Or maybe it gets stale in that split second?

But whenever I hand someone a device who doesn't usually vape, if they do fire before putting the device to their mouth, they usually end up coughing. But, not gonna lie, it's normal to cough after you put your mouth on my tip when my device is firing.

also, i just realized, nobody can see my signature.

Update- after a few days of changing my ways and firing only after my lips are around it, it seems to have fixed the problem. It's quite strange; I'm guessing that it creates a vacuum of sorts, which keeps everything in it's place. Too bad, I really liked doing the pre-fire, but it looks like I'll have to vape like a civilian.

Thanks again everyone.

This happens quite frequently on my full size naut and rarely on my mini. But I fixed the problem. The reason it happens to me is because juice ends up in the chimney and the drip tip. How did I fix it? Every time I refill the mini, I clean the drip tip and the chimney (both through the bottom and through the drip tip side of the chimney). I clear all the liquid out of the chimney. That's what worked for me
