Nautilus Mini replacement

I need help. I've long been using the nautilus Mini with both an IVP2 and an IStick. I need something different. I like having the airflow and also the small unit. I really don't build and am looking for more flavor than anything. Any help would be appreciated.

my biggest issue has been the burnt flavor that comes from the nautilus. Even after switching to new coils. I feel like I've gone through so many recently when they should be lasting longer.

Thanks.

I've owned the nautilus mini and subtank mini. I returned the nautilus within 3 days because I hated it. Not sure why, maybe a bad unit, but I drank/wasted most of the juice. I exchanged it for a subtank mini and I swear by it. I love it. Tbh I feel like I didn't know what vaping really felt like until I bought it (along with my mech mods and drippers of course). It just works for me.

my friends have the kanger subtank nano, doesnt have a rebuild mode so you dont have to worry about that. and their flavor is always killer. bit bigger and a bit more money but i think im going to upgrade soon. you could look into that as well.

they have coil heads with organic cotton as a wick instead of all the other crap. its supposed to have a better taste

What wattage are you vaping at?

I'm getting a month or so out of my Nautilus coils and never have any burnt taste. The flavor is great. But I've found that it has a lot of problems if you're not running enough wattage through it. The "burnt" taste may actually be from vaping at too low of a wattage and having the flavoring and colorings being left in the wick to gum it up. These things really like the 15+ watt range. Everyone I know that has problems with them are trying to use them in the 7-10 watt range.

Without going to a rebuildable or subohm setup, the best flavor is probably the iClear 30S which is a plastic tank that can crack with some juices. If you're willing to step up into the rebuildable world then the Lemo or Kanger Subtank is a good place to start, but you need to read up on exactly what you're doing before you take that step. It comes with added costs, needs a small toolbox worth of tools, and requires constant work to maintain the tank in good working order. At the very least you'll have to tear it down and rewick the coil every couple of days.

I just recently brought my Nautis out of retirement. I often struggled with "burnt" flavor. Finally decided to be PATIENT and prime the coil REALLY well before firing it up. Also, I'd start low (around 8.5W) for a few hits before gradually nudging up the power. I'm now able to hit higher wattages than I had previously, and I'm loving them. I typically use PT2s (with airflow adapters and home-built coils) and Subtank Nanos/Mini.

I just got some new driptips I'd ordered from fasttech. They also have airflow control on them (I know, weird) https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10008295/1743901-pom-pmma-hybrid-510-drip-tip-8-pack and with the airflow wide open, they make my Nautis feel like an RDA.
