I bought a brand new coil head for my nautilustank. It's a 1.6 ohm head but here recently its been dropping rapidly. Right now the ohms is reading out at 1.43 ohm...The head is only a week old or so is this normal for these heads?
I have always seen coils read HIGHER but this is the first one I have actually seen that read lower then what it was suppose to. Kinda threw me off a little bit.

They can read both low and high -- the cause of a low ohm reading is when the coils start to get gunked up with deposits. Those deposits can actually act like a conductor for electricity and this causes the total resistance of the coil to go down.
The resistance of a coil can also increase, especially when the coil is fairly old and has been used lots. This is caused from the continual heating and cooling of the wire which changes the molecular structure inside the wire and causes the resistance to increase.
The gunked up coil makes sense to me I took a look on the inside and its a bit black. Sounds like its time for a new coil head or a possible rebuild to a single coil build. This head inst all that old and doesn't get pushed very hard on my TC40W.
