So I got this thing today and charged the battery, but when I screwed it onto a cart I get a really heavy resistance with maybe about a mm of gap left between the cartomizer and battery, probably like a half turn left. It seems like I could honk down on it and make it go all the way, but it sure doesn't look like the threads would take that sort of abuse, so I'm not gonna do it without further guidance.

I tried it on two of the carts and both batteries, same problem with all configurations. Leaving that gap, the thing still works, but with so much air space the vapor is really thin and wispy, like wispier than my 4081 unless I cover part of the gap with my fingers.

Anyone else have this problem? Do I have bad batteries, bad carts? Am I a pansy and should I just screw it together?

I tried putting a little pressure on and then unscrewed it and a tiny metal shaving fell out, so I think this may be a real issue. Gimme some guidance here.

Hi there. Haven't run into this issue yet, myself. Tell you what you do: First, try a different cartridge. I've noticed the fit to be *snug* sometimes, but it should screw down all the way, so the flat parts are touching between the cartomizer and the battery. If it's giving you trouble and you can't get it to seat right, my only suggestion to you is to crank that sucker down and make it fit. If it breaks, just let me know and I'll replace it for you ;)

Let me know how it goes!

Alright, got it to go on one of the other carts and also on one of the ones that was giving me trouble, so it appears the threads on the battery are fine which was what I was worried about. As long as the threads don't end up breaking this could actually be a positive, since it adds to the solid feel of the device.

The hit is pretty sweet btw, very satisfying. This is the best throat hit on any PV to date for me. My penstyle gives more vapor, but the warmer vapor and strong throat hit make for a better experience I think, and all in a much more attractive package.
