Anyone have a "toolkit" that they put together for emergencies?

Hmmmm. Don't have a toolkit for 'emergencies'.... don't have any. :) Except maybe some spilled juice, then paper towels and IP alcohol are always handy

Most tools are used for rebuilding coils/wicks. These include multimeter, tweezers, fingernail clipper and/or wire cutter, #2 sewing needle, needle-nose pliers, jewelry screwdrivers, scissors, & dental pick. Along with wick & wire of your choice of course.

For general upkeep, mother's metal polish, emery cloth, and noalox.

The tools I keep on my desk for maintenance consist of:
- Several dental picks.
- Variety of jewellers screwdrivers
- Bunch of round tooth picks
- Lots of paper towel
- Device work stand consisting of a block of scrap wood with a 510 to 510 adaptor epoxied in.
- Tweezers
- Several small glass bottles with airtight lids for soaking parts.
- Small basic multi-meter
- Sharp knife
- Variety of glass syringes with Luer lock blunt tips
- Pill organizer to keep parts and screws in while working on device.
- Nitrile gloves.

For heavier work, I have to raid my workshop...
