Im looking into box mods soon, i know i like the look of the hana mods and i dont need anything over 50 watts, i have heard alot of people talking about the dna chip in the originals but how are the clones of the hanas..so what im pretty much asking is are tje hana box mods worth the money? And where can i get them from a u.s. seller, i dont like using fasttech or folecig.

A lotta folks are lovin the IPV mini and that yihi chip. iPV Mini by Pioneer4You - eGo / Variable

This is the one I've recommended to my nephew to start on. He'll likely be getting it next month. I'm kind of anxious to try it. I do have a hana clone dna 30 I like it, but a couple things really bug me. Those buttons really dig into your thumb and fingers. I keep switching around all day to fire it with a different digit. Maybe I just need to build up some callouses, but poor design IMO. The other thing is...... the display stays on for quite awhile! We have an old house with few electrical outlets and no ceiling light fixtures, so it's pretty dark in here. I have a lot of light issues with my eyes anyhow, but if I forget and push up my glasses with the hand that's holding the mod, sometimes that light from the display kinda hurts my eyes. I like a display to stay lit for a few seconds, but this one stays for way too long for my tastes. But overall not a bad box mod.

Im actually really happy with my IPV Mini although its not very "mini". Its only slightly smaller than a MVP but its heavier. 101vapes has them for $49 atm and the MVP 20watt for just under $39. The MVP 20watt is probably a better choice if you prefer to run in the lower watt range most of the time and dont need sub ohm.

IPV mini looks like a nice all around 30W mod for $50. 30 watts should be enough in most situations, I rarely go over 30w. If you want a more mini I love the istick + nautilus mini, great combo.

Things to look for are min resistance the mod will fire at, max amps, step down ability. 0.5 min resistance should be fine for building dual coils with higher gauge wire.

Oh forgot the most important thing, the pin. Definitely want floating or adjustable pin. This is the main failing of the istick although it can be fixed with some tinkering,

The IPV Mini does NOT step down in DC-DC mode. Set at 5watts it vapes no different than set at 25watts on a .5ohm coil on a fresh battery. At least mine does not. Set it in PWM mode though and its like night and day. Pbusardo has mentioned he has one for review fairly soon. We wont really know whats going on until then unless someone else beats him to it.

I dont sub ohm and dont think i will, so 20 to 30 watts is my ideal range. I like the fact that the mvps are able to be used to charge other devices. But from what i have tried between the istick and mvp the istick seems to fire up quicker but ive heard abouy issues with the istick even when it has the adapter on it, ie( not reading correct coil ohms )
