Excuse my ignorance, I have been using the cheapo v2 style ecigs. I felt like it was costing me more money and I was not getting enough vape production from it. So I have been looking at zmax and vamo... but I am a bit confused on what im going to need when it comes to the tanks, cartos... wicks etc etc etc... I really have no idea what I am doing lol and I have been looking around everywhere.

What type of tank would I need or would you recommend for the vamo.
How long do they need to be changed etc

Just any info I can have willl help

Is there some sort of noob faq on here?

Iv been using the Nova's very easy to clean. My wife uses a stardust which is ok easy to clean as well. Mine is on the evic and she is using spinner's. We have 2 each plus i got 2 xta atty heads with each nova so i can clean the old ones and pop a new one in the tank while im cleaning the old ones.

I like carto tanks a glass tank with SS caps I get about 1 week from a cart. You will also need a carto punch and slap yo Mamma tank filling tool. Lots of youtube videos on carto punching.
ViVi novas are a little less work but not so good flavor. Clearos are kind of the same. You might look in to a RBA dripping atty for sitting around the house use. The carto tank for work and running around.

Can someone give me a set up example of everything needed If I were to buy the vamo? That way I can get the jist of the necessary I will need

The device, at least one battery (18650 or 18350) although 2 is preferable so you can use one while the other charges, and a charger for the battery or batteries.

Something to deliver juice to you in vaporized form--whether that's a carto, clearto, tank (some require an adapter), you'd have to let us know what you prefer.

For running the VAMO short, yes, but you'll find device life before a battery switch is necessary to be somewhat disappointing (probably). Although the VAMO is quite large with the 18650 batteries, I'd suggest those. 18350 batteries might give you 5-7 hours of vape time, depending on usage. 18650 batteries should give you 15-18 hours of time (again, usage dependent).

In that case, the battery charger needs to change to an 18650 compatible version. This is probably the one case where you DO want to invest a little money. The wonders of a good battery charger cannot be stated too loudly. :) Mine rots and takes ages to charge my batteries.

I might be tempted to throw in some plain cartomizers just in case you hate the tank. Or you may already have those.

i have to agree. this can never be overlooked when it comes to hybrid batteries the better chargers will make sure the batteries are properly charged and conditioned correctly.

but yea you always need more batteries, what do you do when the few you have are on the charger? lol

I too am looking at the same exact models. My current prospective purchase is:

a Zmax, or a Vamo - I'm still very undecided about this. For some reason that OLED screen is calling my name...

Vivi Nova - It's a great tank from what I've heard, and I'm curious to see how the tank runs on something that's VV/VW

Kanger T3 and MT3 - I've only heard good things about these clearo's, though I'm not much a fan of the airy draw you get on a clearomizer.

1 18650 and 2 18350's - Personally, I'm picking up the 650 for daily use, and the 350's for stacking when I'm at home and experimenting

The charger I've heard that is most recommended so far is the Xtar, you can get them on Amazon for a pretty fair price.

I'm also still exploring whether or not to go protected or unprotected batteries, I've been reading a lot of helpful posts from various areas around the forum but I'm still not entirely sure I understand.

And last but not least, some awesome new flavors to try with all that extra power. I feel like I'm lacking so much flavor from using the eGo battery.

edit: also, for the purposes of saving money in the long run, and just keeping from a headache later (possibly literally) get a glass or pyrex tank of some sort. A lot of the juices can eat away at the plastic that most are made out of and cause you to start vaping plastic fumes. Depending on your flavor choices and such, it might just be a better investment that can handle those.

I just went through this a couple of weeks ago. I already had a bunch of Vivi Novas, tanks and cartos from my Spinner setup. Although I will tell you to start with the single hole cartos. I went with the 2 hole and my carto kept flooding. That may have been due to thin juice though. I went with the stainless version from Exhale Vapers. With the 40% code it was $46 shipped. I bought 2 18350's and 2 18650's from other vendors. The advice I got steered me away from the ones Exhale carries. And I picked up a Nitecore i2 charger on Amazon for $20. It works great and I can charge different battery types and sizes at the same time. I really only use it in "light saber mode" when I'm at home. It works great in short mode for going out. Still a little big but not ridiculous. It's a great buy though, you'll be happy with it.
