Hi,

I'm looking to replace my current mech mod set up. I thought I knew what I wanted when I bought this at a local b&m
ybyrudu3.jpg

But, it really isn't appropriate for my needs, as I am on the road and dripping is not easy at 65mph, plus I thought that I would be able to use this in 18350 mode, but apparently there wasn't another tube to go along with the 18650. Anyway, I am searching for a mod that fits the following characteristics:

Flush unlocked feature so that I can set it down or put it in my pocket and be confident that it won't "turn on" and burn me, yet pick it up/pull it out and vape in one fell swoop. You know, the opposite of this:

18350/stealth mode. I want small, but solid and well put together.

Works well and looks good with a kayfun or something of the sort. I hear so much love for the kayfun lite on small devices, and such great flavor reviews that this seems like the right move from a dripper like above.

Etchings/drawings/colors aren't that important, but I'm not really educated enough on what's better - steel/brass/copper/wood/etc either so some info would be helpful.

Finally, Price - I'd like to keep this right around or less than $75-100 including the kayfun, and if it got here before the end of July, well that'd be great!

Thanks!

PS- Any idea what this clone is? For both the mod and the dripper? Is it the Private V2?

Well, when I read your post what came to mind is the Sigelei 24, it's a top side button mech, telescoping mod, and comes with a spiffy collar around the button that will keep your mod from accidentally firing. I have two of these, my old man is using one of them now and I'm using my Nemesis anymore, but it might be what you are looking for.

That's it there in the front, the button got the chrome worn off from use, but I think it looks cool that way. The collar is held in place by an o-ring, you can move it off the button easily. You can get one at Kidney Puncher cheap, just 30 bucks and it will telescope down for a 18350, if you want to use those. Oh and it has a lanyard loop on the back of the collar, which I found very nice for vaping while driving, and you said you want to use it while driving, so...

That's not exactly what I'm looking for...that just seems pretty bulky for a pocket.

What about a 4Nine? That bottom firing button does not stick out, but is there anything else out there that I can unlock and stick in my pocket that is tiny and won't burn a hole in my leg?

Definitely not a pro here, but of my mech mods the easiest to unlock and use quickly is the Caravela clone I just snagged. It's not a telescopic, but it has different tubes for the 3 different 18 series battery sizes, and the 350 is very very small. It's bottom fire button like my magneto, but unlocking it only takes a couple twists, where the magneto feels like I'm turning it 30 rotations to unlock. The button is not flush when unlocked, but sturdy enough to set on the table with it's battery in and tank on top and it doesn't fire.

Yes your mod looks like a grand vapor private v2. That said, it should handle 18350 batteries. It's a telescoping mod, so you should be able to screw down the size to fit the 350's. I'm not sure what you mean by there not being another tube, all 3 battery sizes should fit that mod without any tube changing. I still wouldn't trust either of them in my pocket without the locking ring though. I did some searching rda's and there are too many. Maybe someone with one like that can come forward with a name for it. I just knew the mod was a grand vapor clone thanks to the logo.

The Roller.

It's a side firing button with a 1/4 turn (in either direction) lock. You can do it with two finger without looking.

It's also a GREAT MOD.

I like the caravelas a lot, they look really nice and in 350 size look pretty small too. So you're saying that it can sit straight up with it unlocked and not fire?

I have tried to use an 18350 battery, but the battery just rattles around when I screw the mod all the way down to make it smaller. I took it back to the b&m where I bought it, and the owner told me that it can only do 18650 (although he may have said it could fit 18500). Another b&m that I took it to said that there should've been another tube if the 350s rattle.
Launcher v2 clone.
Solid as a tank.
Copper contacts.
Flush button, no lock, no accidental pocket fires.
Looks fantastic in 350,500, or 650 mode.
I have over 30 mods.
This is one of the best built mechs I own.

Thanks ninja, Is that pic with a 350? Looks pretty good, but I think I prefer non-telescoping, with just one smooth piece. Are the copper contacts better for some reason? Is it a voltage drop thing?

Yes, I bought mine used and the spring is strong enough that even with an 850 and full Kanger Aerotank I can sit it upright without it firing, just double checked. I still don't know if I'd trust it in my pocket though. For as strong as the spring is it still seems to press pretty easily, so I would think it would fire in a pocket.

Although I would sit it on the passenger seat unlocked and have little worries about firing... haven't tried it though.
