weeeeell thats a different ballgame why didnt ya just ask? lol
ok you have to make sure the program is in expert mode.
open the program, on the top right you will see a drop down box with novice, advanced and expert for choices. choose expert, then close the program, not just the window the whole program. restart it.
now if it worked like its supposed to.......... open the window again and go to the configure button top left.
when the window opens there should now be 7 tabs on the top of it, choose the one that says slots.
now you have to decide to use one SMP slot that will use all 6 cores or 6 uni slots, one for each core.
******* Important******
any changes to the slots in use - as in deleting a uni to change to SMP will cause the work to be lost, not a problem for F@H but it will reset how long it takes before you get points.********
now you can:
A- click on each entry and hit the delete button on the bottom, removing everything there, then add 1 SMP slot that will use all 6 cores, big big points but takes awhile to finish it.
-OR-
B- delete everything but the uni that is there and add 5 more. each core will run faster but less points per unit, but 6 units running.
After you decided and set it up. close the program and restart it, it should reset to whatever choice you picked.
-now-
go back to configure and:
choose the advanced tab, you will see a choice that says "folding Core Priority" there are 2 choices:
lowest possible.
Slightly higher.
choose slightly higher, and use the slider to adjust the % of CPU, remember that the slider is whatever you pick X 6 cores.
Example say you now have 6 uni slots and set the slider to 10%. it will be 10%x6=60%
I run unis and adjust the slider so total output is 70 to 80%
Any changes to the CPU slider will not change anything until you exit the program and restart.
let me know if you get stuck or how it worked for you.
EDIT: rereading your post i see you already have the slider so all you need to do is decide what kind of slots to use........................................
