Hey there. Having some issues with my dripping. What's the difference between the 510's and the 306. I have a ton of juices I need to try and a new cartos for each one is financially out of the question., Done that too many times, only to waste the carto with a crappy juice. Also started DIY and really need to find a good way to test flavors. Currently using a 510 but I don't know if it's me or the atty that sucks but it doesn't ever taste the same or even close to what it does in my Boge cartos. I'm not sure what brand they are but I've tried the ones that came with our Lavatube as well as the SLB LR atty that came with my KGO. Unfortunately those 2 died on me very quick so i didn't use them long. One lasted about 10 minutes and the other less than a week of only tasting juices on occasion, so not much use. With the ones I'm using now, the flavor sucks or the vapor sucks. If I put like 4 drops it tastes burnt. So then I add 1 or 2 more and it's flooding, gurgling, and leaking out all over. I even tried debridging a couple. Would I be better off with a 306 or i06. What is the difference? There's got to be a better way.:vapor:

If your testing flavors, I would stick with basic 510 atties, they are not as tempermental as the 306 atties. 306 Atomizers are little firecrackers that require being wet and having juice at all times. A variant of the 306 is the i06 created by Ikenvape. If you are getting a burnt taste that means the wick is probably burnt. A good rule of thumb for dripping a 510 is to put 3-4 drops in when dry, wait 30 seconds then add 2-3 more and vape till the taste changes, then add 2-3 more drops. If you flood the atomizer, blow it out and start all over again. It is just going to take some practice and patience to figure out what works for you. You will get leakage till you have a better grasp of exactly what you are doing, and that is more of a feeling thing.

I would look for a cheap package of joye atomizers, they are fairly forgiving and work pretty well. You can usually get 2 for around 5 bucks. They are not the best atties, but they are great for learning and sampling with.

This has been debated in many threads on this forum and from what I have found for myself, (and lets keep in mind everyone has their own preferences), I prefer the LR306's for the majority of my dripping. I do occasionally use LR510's as well but don't change juices with those unless it is after a good clean out. I have completely given up on carto's as all that I have tried in the last year have all had a dry or muted taste to them. They were all very inconsistent. I was floored when I tasted my juice with a LR atty for the first time. It hit me at that moment that that was the taste I was looking for in a juice and not want an analog again. As chatter97 said, 306's are little firecrackers to say the least. I use LR 1.5 ohm Joye brand atty's only. These have been the most consistent for me overall. I have found you can change juice with a 306 without having to clean them each time. I believe their is a couple of youtube video's that have been made showing this. I have found on some juices have a tendency to hang around in a 510 atty for a while as the 306's, the taste seems to come through quickly with the new juice. I would also add it would depend on what you are vaping them with. I try to stay pretty simple in that I use either a 3.7v AA box mod or an eGo 650 mah battery. As has been stated on the forums it all comes down to what you are vaping with and what atty you feel you get the best vapor and flavor from. It is all trial and error pretty much and what works for some might not work for all. Good luck in your search and happy vaping......

Personally, I like the COV dual coil 510 atomizers. The taste great, don't leak, and last more than 4 drags.

For dripping though, nothing will ever beat a 2.5ohm 306 atomizer, debridged and dewicked, at 5v. the flavor really shines through, and vapor production is great.

The iO6 is an "enhanced" 306 for better longevity, vapor production, etc. I have yet to try one, but it's on my list.

I would go and get a COV dual coil atomizer, (Welcome to Clouds Of Vapor), and even a standard 306 (www.litecigusa.net)

They're both relatively cheap too.

Another thing, when buying atomizers, try to buy 2 at a time at least, that way if you mess one up or you have a production fluke, you have an extra. The COV dual coil atomizers can also be bought a little cheaper in a 5 pack. Right now they are my favorite atomizer. I think it all boils down to you are going to have to play with it and see what you like. I would not worry about debridging and wicking until you get the hang of using an atomizer.

Definitely true, buying in bulk always saves in the long run.

Debridged and dewicked atomizers behave a little differently, and do have a little learning curve. For me, the only reason I did it was because my 306 stopped wicking quickly enough for high voltages. I'd get about 2 hits, and then it's just burning from there on :/

I agree GENUINE JOYE LR 510 atomizers are the best. Put 3 drops on a dry 510, let it sit a few minutes, then hit it a few times, you will be able to tell if it needs another drop or so. I usually blow mine clear a few times a day, it really keeps them clean tasting and makes the LR 510 perform up to its true potential.. I have tried other methods, cartomizer/tanks, ect...
and belive me nothing compares to a fresh driped atomizer..... 306s? Never cared much for the design of the exposed bridge, I think they are messy and harder to blow clear which is needed to keep an atomizer tasting clean...
