Last Thursday I started having problems, and I'm not sure if it's my eGo batteries or my attys. ALL of my attys seem to be just not right, old ones, brand new ones, dewicked and debridged, just dewicked, and left alone. I've soaked them in CPH, and also steam cleaned them with my steamer. To the best of my knowledge they are all Joye 510 regular resistance.

I really need to order some different attys this week, and I'm trying to figure out what I should try.

What is the difference between a 306 and a 510?

(off topic, but if I get a volt testing thingy, what do I do with it, and will it tell me if my eGo batts are fried?)

I've used some of my attys at 6v on my Saber Touch, so I know that I want to try some HV attys for that, and also want to try LR attys on the eGo, and on my mini Saber Touch. I bought a mini copper from the classifieds that should be delivered today.

Just when I was really feeling like I had finally found what worked for me, now I'm feeling like I'm back at the beginning. It took me a while but I finally got the hang of dripping so I invested in stainless steel drip tips and Vape Mate from Super T. I have five eGo 650 batts and an eGo PT plus the mods I mentioned above.

juice - check
drip tip - check
battery - check
atty - ?????????????

What is your favorite atty and why? And from what vendor?

Thanks in advance!

Hey brewlady 8)

I'm a avid 306 fan but i still use 510's aswell so i can try and give you as much info as possible.

The real difference in look is the how in the 510 the bridge is internal (like all other atomizers) where as the 306's bridge and coil is external. it's an exposed bridge.

the LR 306 vs a LR 510 there are some very very big differences. One of course if the look. 2 is you can't use normal drip tips or even cartridges with the 306. THink of a 306 as a dripping atomizer.

now, with a LR 510 if you put more then 2 drops on the atty your going to see a little juice come out from the sides. with the LR 306 with the delrin drip tip, there is not much leaking at all.

there is also a sound difference. The LR 510 is silent primarily where as the 306 is a bit loud. There reason behind it is the bridge being exposed.

There are always people complaining about LR 510's don't ever last that long. I've had this experience where they only last 2 weeks max and then they are dead.

LR 306's (from ikenvape or genuine cisco LR 306's) are work horses. they last for frekkin ever.

from my experience the 306 produces more vapor output and the flavor is better and a better throat hit. it's more durable and it doesn't leak anything like a LR 510 unless you truly truly flood the hell out of it.

Grab 2 of them from vaporflow and you get a free drip tip i think (that was the old sale)
Alt smoke sells a good one also and i know for a fact ikenvape.com makes a great 306 aswell.

There is only one person i've ever spoken to out of hundreds that don't like the 306 and that's because it was just too much for him in terms of vapor.

Other then that, it's gottin massive reviews and praises from all. I'd definately look into it.

If your still unsure, look up cisco LR 306 on youtube.com and watch igetcha69's review.

Thanks for the heads up on this deal! Just ordered this with a purple tip, one LR 510, and a black delrin 306 tip. The coupon code I found basically gave me free shipping too! I haven't watched the video yet, so I may be asking a question that is answered there...the picture of the 306 shows that it has a wick. Should I dewick before I drip?

I've only needed to dewick one of them (the one i'm using now) you'll be amazed by the taste of the liquid on this atomizer without dewicking. I would recommend you don't at first.

These are work horses by the way, you won't need to replace these very often. I bought two of them in november (with the deal i told you about) and the only reason i had to buy more was because i gave my mother one for christmas with her ego kit and one to my brother with his ego kit.

So i bought more to refill my supply.

once a week i would recommend running your fosset at the hottest possible, grab a pair of tweezers and grab the atty (gently) and holding it over HOT HOT water (the bridge) for about 2 minutes.

Then blow into the opposite end (after it's cooled down of course) until all the water has been almost completely blown out (blow into a paper towel is the best method)

After that, take a 3.7 device and do 2 second dry burns until you see the red hot coil. DO NOT OVER DRY BURN A 306!! they will burn out quick if you continue after you see the red hot coil.

Again, this is just my method. everyone has a different way.

These things are champs of 3.7 devices. I'm really excited for you actually 8) Please please please do a review of it (textually or with a video camera) and let us know how you like them.

and if you get a stiff draw from it at first, give it an hour or so before you decide to dewick (i've only had to do it once) dewicking them are extremely extremly easy. grab a pair of tweezers and stick one of the prongs through the bridge (Gently not to hit the coil) and yank out. Works like a charm.

I would almost recommend not dewicking it the 510 manner of doing it gently, for some reason, my friend dewicked one of his this was and it ruined it cause he kept knocking into the coil.

Anywho, enjoy 8)

Based on flagreekguy's advice, I ordered these LR 306 Atomizer + Drip Tip Package - VaporFlow, Inc. on Monday, they arrived today. I ordered a purple 306 drip tip in the package, and another black one. When I opened the package, I *really* thought they had sent me cartomizers. But I went back to the picture on the website, and they did look exactly as pictured. No way was I getting the black cover off. I tried, and was getting frustrated. A quick visit to ecf's live chat helped me out, and I've now figured out that the best way to get the cover off is to put it on a battery. Once it's attached, you can twist off the cover to reveal the atty.

So I got out my all time favorite juice, and put a freshly charged battery in my mini Saber Touch. Dripped in three drops, which just sat at the very top of the drip tip, so I blew into it a little to get the juice down to the atty, and was ready to vape. :vapor: WOW :vapor: (One of my favorite songs started playing in my head....Gimme Fuel, gimme fire, gimme that which I desire....) If this is what bear claw tastes like, where's the waffle? OMG, waffle, I wonder how Tastyfinger really tastes....

I can tell you, I'm not getting much done right now, but there's gonna be a mini vapefest at my house tonight. I do need to get out an emery board to smooth out the drip tip (been spoiled with my Super T stainless steel ones), and am going to be searching for the perfect 306 drip tip, but I have a feeling I'm going to be vaping myself dizzy tonight!!

I would like to point out that the lr306's being sold at VaporFlow are no longer the Cisco 306's, but rather Joye version. This is because Cisco is no longer selling them wholesale anymore. That being said, I just recieved my Joye 306's today, and have been using it for the past few hours and i gotta say, so far it works just as good as the Cisco's. The only thing I'm wondering is if it willl last as long as the Cisco version, time will tell.. (Also the joye does have primer on it you have to blow out, and the cisco does not)

My last Cisco 306 was still going strong after a month, but unfortunatly, I left my PV in my pocket without turning off the master switch, and managed to burn the atty and melt a hole in the drip tip. How I didn't feel it, i can't say.

I do plan on trying Ikenvakes 306's next, since i've heard really good things about them.

OMG LMAO ROFL!!!!

I'm laughing my ... off reading this. i've read it twice and i'm pretty sure i got it all wrong but when you said "Is this what bear claws taste like?" I spit my drink all over my monitor LOL is that euphamism for "OMG it's ripping my throat out!!" or is that the name of your weird ... juice?? Lol either way, i'm really happy you got it figured out. they put that protective sheath over it because the bridge is after all exposed.

Hawkins is right, i just learned this morning that vaporflow no longer sells the genuine ciscos. However, joye 306's (as i'm vaping on one right now) is perfectly fine. they work SO SO close to the cisco's.

Hey brewlady, if your REALLY bumbed you can't use your normal drip tips, go on youtube and find a video where you can put the 510 atomizer cover over the 306 so you can use the normal drip tips. I particularly don't like it, it works but it takes away the experience for me.

Tommorow after you full night of vaping, do a full review. I love hearing reviews from new people 8)

ahhaah omg thanks for the laughs that was absolutely hilarious!! lol

GIMME FUEL GIMME FIRE GIMME THAT WHICH IS DIRE!! OHHHHHHH YEEEEEHAH!!! OHHHHH!!!!! LOL

So does this mean that the Cisco one's aren't available at all, or just sold by one vendor?

Cisco will be selling them himself instead of sending them to other vendors.

the name of his name website is avidvapers.com and he (in my opinion) has the very best LR 306's in the land. 2nd best is Ikenvapes and 3rd best is Joyes. But there are 5-7 other companies (which i've used for them) that make knock offs of the joye the ikenvapes and the cisco's that SUCKKKK.

your vaping at 3.7 right? lol

Thanks for these reviews! I've heard about the 306 and have been planning on trying them. I use 510s on a Buzz, and only drip. But I get so tired of the juice leaking. I'm so glad to hear the 306 doesn't have a problem w/ that. I was going to wait until Ikenvape got them back in stock, but I may have to check out the supplier you guys mentioned.

I think ikenvapes design is the most CLASSY and i think Cisco's is the best performing (That's just me personally)

I'm going to send an email to the people who make the pyrex drip tip and ask that they make ones for the 306. i hate these delrin drip tips. i've gone through 4 of them cause they are so fragile.

Now, if you really really really love 5v's i'd recommend getting a mod capable of 6-6.4 volts and throwing on a HV 306 from ikenvape to simulate 5.0 volts. that's an awesome vape aswell. But i'm so inlove with my LR 306.

Brewlady i'm so frekkin happy you like them...atleast, i think you like them lol

Thanks. My buzz will go that high, I just usually stay around 5 volts. I do need HV 306s, and IKV is out of stock. He is going to send me some when he gets them back in.

I do, now I need to order one of these Cannon | Drip Tips | E- | Cigs | Cigarettes | Cisco 306 | Cherry Vape

I looked at the pyrex tips, and thought about getting one to try, but then I realized that I've dropped my stainless steel ones enough on the tile floor in the bathroom, I don't think pyrex would last a week around me.

God those pyrex drip tips are so sexy though aren't they? ugh. they are uber long (that's what she said) and the liquid immediately drops down the sides if you hit the sides and it NEVER gets hot because of the pyrex glass.

I wouldn't be too shy about dropping it. it's pyrex. those that glass is tough.
