Atomizers: Vapor Production Help!

I use 510 Atomizers both regular and LR. Now mind you I drip and only drip. Most of my juice is from Tasty Vapor and I am pretty consistent with getting a 30/70 VG/PG mix. I vape on both my eGo when I'm out in the field at work (repair technician) and my Omega when I'm home and the weekends.

I have noticed especially with the LRs that my vapor production drops considerably after a week or so.

I have tried cleaning them, with alcohol, boiling and dry burn ( different times not all three at once ). I have tried just not cleaning them. It seems that after about a week of use I just get about 50% of the vapor I get out of a new one.

I tried the dewicking/debridging method too, broke a few attys and the ones I didn't just sucked. Now the only LR attys I have used are Joye ones. The regular ones I have used have been Joye MJT Bauway.

Is it the manufacturer I'm using? Im lost I would be happy if I got 2 solid weeks of great vapor and if it started to trail off then i would just dump it and get a new one.

I would pefer some advice from people who have experience with different atty manufacturers, cleaning methods and are familiar with Dripping, when I say familiar I mean you mainly drip. But of course if anyone feels they can help at this point I'll take anything into consideration. Thankyou for your help and time.

Sorry I can't be of much help, I don't ever clean or change my Attys or Ccartos. I've been using a regular 510 Carto on a 6v mod for over 3 weeks, never take it off, just cut the Juice with a bit more VG so 50/50 vg-pg as I like lots of vapour.
My wife uses a 3.7V device with a regular 510 Atty or Carto and finds the Attys degrade within about 2 to 3 weeks so then gives them to me, but the Cartos seem to perform well. On a side note the Ccartos seem to have a lower drain on the batteries.

In my experience, the attys have gotten worse. They weren't always this bad, and I don't want to pin it on any manufacturer, because it has been a little of everyone, as the ecig world has grown. But I think the recent revisions have ruined some of the safe bets on the market. I have used every one that you have mentioned, Joye, SLB, Bauway, Boge, Hellotech, Cisco, EM, Iken, gh1... heck, some that I don't even know. Don't let my registration date fool you, I have been vaping for a while. The Joyes are still fairly good, the Bauways are okay, and Ikens are solid IMO. I stay away from SLB, but I have heard things are better. I couldn't tell you.

Right now, for those who drip. People are jumping on the 306 bandwagon. I like the Cisco 306s, and the Joye 306s are good too. Same threads as a 510 and require its own drip tip.

Also, I personally do not like debridging attys, I LOVE dewicking, but I will leave the bridge in tact. I hope you try 306s. and G/L!

I'm a newer vaper but have my two original Joye 510 attys going like new at 48 days. One is as strong as Day 1 and the other has been a problem child from Day 1- the draw is too stiff- but the plumes are still as good as day 1. I'm a dripper too and dewicked and debridged both of them.

I'm a 100% VG girl and make my DIY juices with strong, sweet flavorings so I made up my own nightly cleaning method to compensate for my thick, sticky Nic juices. It takes me 10 seconds to clean them. I filled up a empty bottled water bottle with 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 distilled water. I put a rubber band around the neck to hold an eye dropper/pipette. I squirt the solution @ 5 times through the daily atty, blow it out and let it dry overnight.

Try my simple cleaning method and see if it helps make them last longer! It works great with regular attys

Well, I've been away from the forum for a while now, but I've still been vaping occasionally(Went back to analogs... Yucky). My 510 atty has lasted me a year now, with no cleaning at all. I've been using Halo the whole time, but I don't know if that was the key. Maybe I just got a hold of a good atty. I believe that the main key is held within the liquid that you use, IMHO.

When you tried the dry burns, did you rinse them out real well with very hot water first?

Never had much luck with 510's... usually use a 901... the 306's are quite nice... I like them better than the 510's.

There is a big difference in Joye 510 atties and other 510 atties. I've been having really good luck with the ones I got from healthcabin.net. I'm pretty sure they're real Joyes. I've been using one exclusively since August and it's a beast. I run hot water in it once a week and blow it out with an air compressor at work. It takes like 10 seconds.

I use the Cisco low res 306 and I get a good 6 weeks of strong use out of it. I do us pg juice instead of vg. If you use vg juice it tends to gunk up your atty quicker which results in shorter atty life.

I really been hearing good things about these 306s. I guess ima have to buy some from joye and cisco and try them out. Thanks for the advice.

You know I was thinking of using vinegar I think the problem might be the juice and the cleaning methods effects on the wick. Ima try what you suggested THANKS so much for the tip.

Ohh DC2 yeah I did i followed the how to do here on the forums somewhere exactly, I did it on about 5 to 6 attys, they got a little bit better but nothing close to what i feel they should get back to after a cleaning. When i say little i mean ity bity little lmao.

Since I'm probably getting some LR 306s (ciscos) I would like to know do you clean them at all? if so how? Where you get your ciscos and what ohms are they rated? lol sorry for all the questions but im loving all the help you guys have already given me thanks again.

Sounds like they might have needed a lot more dry burning.


Did you do the dry burns until you could see the entire length of the coil glowing orange?
If you keep doing dry burns until the entire coil is glowing across the whole length, then the atomizer should work like new.

Yeah I did that.... I don't know what it could be, maybe I'll give it another shot if I get bored enough lmao.

I just rinse mine out once a week and blow them out with an air compressor blow gun. I've been on the same atty since August.
