I recently received my hana v3 clone and in anticipation I built a .8 ohm single micro coil on my omega rda thinking that would be a satisfactory build for this mod. I'd normally put .5 ohms when I build on my mechs which are what I primarily vaped and I could stuff those coils with monstrous wicks and get very full and flavorful hits every time until the wick went white and dry. The problem I'm having is that nearly everything I build and put on my new hana clone will burn a completely soaked wick no matter what wattage I set it at, what the resistance is, or how much cotton I use. I just need someone to help me figure out what I might be missing or not understanding about the wattage and voltage. I had the same problem using my Russian 91% on it at first as well getting lots of hotspots and burnt wicks but I put a chimney coil on it and that is working fantastically my dripper is my main concern here though I'd love any tips on optimizing my dna 30 experience. Thanks for your time.

Maybe I'll give that a shot thank you for your suggestion. I actually got a .5 dual coil build on mine today that is actually fine on flavor and vapor but as it turns out my hana clone won't pump out the proper voltage even at thirty watts so the build still runs great on my mech but rather lack luster on my hana which is a huge disappointment.

That's odd about your burnt hits. My experience has been the opposite. The hana clone at 0.8 (but with dual coils) never burns my wicks at all. I had a vv vision spinner that would burn my wicks sometimes, but the Hana doesn't seem to burn anything even when it's outputting more voltage than I ever used on the spinner. Maybe you've got a hotspot or a hot leg or something. Or maybe the Hana is defective. Hope you figure it out.

I'm set to recently receive a Hana clone through mail too (already received my origen v2). I'm waiting for kanthal now and I hope it'll be worth it. Just a question, on your origen v2 are you building horizontal or vertical coils ? I've heard both be touted as the best for the origen and wondering what you've decided on.

You definitely want to build vertical coils for your Origen v2. What gauge wire are you using? I am using 28 gauge wrapped 12 times around a 2mm drill bit to give 1.7 ohms. 30 watts gives me about 7.x volts.
