My in-laws started with a 901, had trouble, and switched to 801s. My husband and I started with the 510s due to price. We have only been doing it a week, but I think we will stick with the 510s for quite a while. That little bit of fiddling that it takes sometimes keeps the habit from being too easy. I haven't touched an analog since my first inhale off my 510. Hubby had two analogs the second night because he got frustrated with the 510. I was able to blow out his atty and get it working much better and he hasn't had an analog since.

We have two couples that are going to try out PVs. One couple has listened to us talk about the 510 sometimes being a bit fickle and understands that there will be a period where trial and error is about all you can do. I ordered them a 510 kit, a few carts, and some menthol liquid since that is what they liked the best of ours that they tried.

Second couple has decided that they would rather spend a bit more, but not have to fiddle with anything. I think they will need a 2-piece unit that has the cartomizer and battery. I do not expect them to ever even attempt to refill the cartomizer.

So, what would you suggest to be the most maintenance free PV, while still keeping price in consideration? I've heard of the 808D, the Loong Totem, the GreenCig, etc., but I am having trouble figuring out which one would fit them best because it would not be something I would be looking for. Can you suggest a vendor as well? I will have to find them someone who will take orders over the phone as they do not have the internet. I was able to order the kit for the first couple as it was only around $50 for everything (love cignot.com!!), but I just do not have the income to be able to front the costs for this other couple as well.

Thanks in advance for any advice!!

You can find the GreenCig 300 at Vapor4Life:: Because it's your life :: Electronic Cigarettes & Alternatives to Smoking for $59.95 I do not own one yet, but I will if it stays at this price. It sells for $139 and up at other sites. Some have called the GreenCig the Rolls Royce of models, but I cannot testify to that. At Vapor4Life:: Because it's your life :: Electronic Cigarettes & Alternatives to Smoking, you can also buy the 808 or VaporKing. I just got that one and am trying to find the right flavor, but it is an outstanding e cig.

The phone order issue might be tough. But, you could always have them pay you in advance, deposit the money, and order fro them. Anyway, I would recommend any kr808-D. The best vendors:

Vapor4life, cigeasy, nhaler, and choicevapor. Most of these guys have phone numbers, so you can call them if need be. I just dont know about ordering. Also, the prices of the carts will differ between each vendor.
I went with this model because my wife and I didnt want to worry about dripping or having to buy juice. I can assure you... doing so pays dividends. A steady e-cig user can easily go through 3 to 5 carts a day. Thats not really cost effective. However, if you buy a 50mL bottle of juice and a few 5packs of carts... you will be saving a ton-o-money! Just my .02.... hope it helps.

My best,
-VP

Thanks.

I know Totally Wicked now does telephone orders, but I don't see anything on there that would be the 2-piece.

Cignot has already told me that I could possibly build them a cart and leave a phone number for the couple. Basically, that they would work it out. Unfortunately, in the same boat sice they only do the 510 (and maybe the 901).

I had considered nhaler for the 808D. I've been meaning to order some lung juice from him, so I could test him out as a vendor. I may print out some stuff on the 808D for my couple along with his phone number.

No kidding. That is why I needed advice from people that would behave in a way that I would not. I like mods and hacks and fiddling with stuff to make it perform better and above all to save money. They don't want to mess with any of it. I bet my usage with my 510 is going to stay around 3-4 mg a WEEK and that was even with going to the bar 3 times!!

In a way, that is why I don't want any part of their ordering process. It's not what I would recommend, so I don't want to be held responsible. They need to speak to someone like Drew who can answer a few questions if needed.
