Hey guys!

So as my sig shows what i currently have in my arsenal, i was still wondering on how to go about "trying a flavor"

So my Vivi Nova is set and stone for my current daily vape so i will not be touching that

And my 6ml tank is currently empty.

So really what i need to know is,

I want to try Ectoplasm from Juicy Vapor, and whats the best route for testing e-juices?

buy a carto, put it in my tank, and vape? ($3-4)

Buy a Clearomiser ($7)

or something else? i want to try more popular juices but i dont want to hassle with the carto change or cleaning.

Wondering if you guys had any ideas.

(or possibly doing atty style and dripping, but i have never done that so advice would be good for that too!)

:::If possible plz give me some links for hardware:::

Thx ECF!

A dripping atty is the way to go. I use a couple HH357s but those are like $20 a pc. so I would recommend a couple quality attys from Empire Mods. They have great mid premium attys for like $7 a pc. I was using those for a long time b4 I found the HH 357.

For using dripping atty, how do i clean them? or will the flavor just burn off?

what ohms should i use?

I'm one of those vapors that never really got the hang of dripping on an atty. I won't bore people with that experience.

At first I tried using short cartomizers for testing juices, but you end up devoting that carto to that flavor as it has a tendency to stay in the polyfiller, and I'm not bothering to clean cartos, its just not worth it to me.

I started using the above ce2 or ce3, not sure which it is because each vendor identifies them differently so I included some pics. These are nice for testing juices if you don't drip for the following reasons:

* Small capacity - you don't need much juice to figure out if you like it or not; these hold 0.6 - 1.5 ml depending on manufacturer and model chosen.

* Clear - you can see juice level as you vape and judge its viscosity or thickness.

* No filler or wick - no filler or wick to taint the flavor.

* Re-usable - filled with fine needle and syringe included. Emptied, rinsed with water, and refilled with new flavor the same way. There are new models on the way that do not require needle/syringe.

* Seem to be safe with all juice flavors. (no melting/cracking of tube material that I have heard of)

* Inexpensive - Same price or cheaper than cartomizer 5-packs.

What ever you end up with and which juices to put in them, be sure to check a thread here on ECF that has a current list of flavors and vendors whose juice has at least one incidence of cracking or melting polycarbonate or plastic. Flavors that use cinnamon and citris flavors are the main culprits.

I love the flavor Ecto Plasma from Juicy Vapor, and it is on the list. I put it in a Phiniac pyrex tube tank. Pyrex and polypropylene (frosted plastic) are safe for these juices.

If you don't want to spend top dollar on a Phiniac tank, there are a couple of vendors that are offering pyrex cartotanks for around $25 (IBTanked and Valley View Vapes). The polypropylene version of the Smoktech DCT tanks also work for about half of that price (PBDragon and My Vapor Store).

Since you have vv devices, it doesn't really matter, but around 2 ohms is where I would go. As long as the first flavor isn't something really strong, like cinnamon, menthol, coffee, etc it should pretty much go away after a few drip sessions. I like to blow them out really good, and then flood them with atty refresher. I think a bridgeless atty will not hold onto past flavors as much as one with a bridge.

I'm not a dripping fan either so I've found these work out nicely for taste testing. Just fill about 1/2 way, test it out, vape it all or use the syringe to pull out what's left. You can put some unflavored in there to clean out whatever taste is left or just fill again with a new flavor without too much flavor blending.

I just drip a few drops of a juice to try. Then I blow out the atty from the connector end a few times, very hard into a piece of tp. Then its basically gone. I will put the next juice in and for the first few draws the 2 will meld together. After that its all the second juice. Now every couple of weeks I will soak the attys in Everclear pure grain alcohol for an hour or so, blow them out thoroughly, and dry burn if the coils are gunked up. I have attys that I bought 6 months ago, that still perform nicely. Keep them wet with VG, PG, or just e juice. Especially after the alcohol treatment, if your going to store them and not use for a while.

avidvaper(dot)com has good attys, maybe a little pricier but are cisco spec. I use and love HH.357s, but at $22 each aren't cheap. I also like the stingray attys, the come in LR and SR, 510 and 306. I buy them at the juicy vapor b&m store, but you may be able to get them from their website. They also have them at thehouseofvapor and delawarevapor.

Good call, yea don't store them dry. I bought some unflavored, no nic PG/VG to wet my attys after I clean them and won't be using right away. I also use everclear to clean them, but don't dry burn. I actually don't think I've ever had an atty that needed to be burned...
