I really don't want to increase the nicotine level and I'm using 80% PG... I use the single coil cartomizers and have been looking at the horizontal coil cartomizers... any knowledge on them?

You have to realize that the nic levels are NOT comparable to cigarette nic levels, so unless you're getting anxious or jittery or have other symptoms of "too much stimulants" let your body decide, not the little numbers on the label.
Most folks end up having to go to 24 nic early on, and some stay there forever, some taper off over the years. Some folks have to go to 36. I found myself going back to combustibles if I go down to 18.
If you are quite sure you are getting enough nicotine, you might have to look at WTA's if you are not satisfied. If you are not tempted to smoke but you like to chain vape, then I'd suggest keeping some veri nice flavorful 8 or 0 nic acound for evenings.
If you are finding your flavors unfulfilling, see the setup for a Nova below. (And try more sample paks from juice vendors.)
I went to horizontal coil cartos, but that was before the Nova. Now most almost-beginning vapers take ONE taste and they are converted -- the lack of muting from carto filler is extremely noticeable. There are other things that taste as good, from $300 devices to the cheap-but-difficult Kanger m3 to dripping, but IMO the Nova is the easiest to use after an initial learning period, though I do need to keep tissues with me in case I forget to get things at the correct tightness. Some weeks I never need any, some days I need 15 tissues.
Your setup ought to work, but for medium-advanced vapers I hear just about everybody saying go to variable voltage and the ViVi Nova. I've found the vape is the same whether I use a $28 vv device or a $80 vv device, so just get the kgo VV or the Vision Spinner or the ego Twist (don't drop it!) or something. Really, you can get by with only 1 of them if you are willing to use your existing stuff as backup. If your existing setup is 808 (I didn't surf to find out) then get an adapter when you get the Novas. Start with a mini-nova and a full-sized one. When changing heads, be sure your hands are dry so that you get a good seal, it's not good to screw it in super-tight, but slippery-fingers-tight doesn't prevent leaking.
The most-satisfying voltage setting will vary from device to device due to subtleties in the electronics, and will vary with time of day and temperature, and thickness of juice, and flavor, and and and...so when I say 2 devices vape "the same" I mean after I've found the sweet spot for the moment.
Good luck, whatever you do.
