Hi Everyone,

New to the forum and want to transition to vape from analogs. Thanks to everyone in this forum for all the great info, but after several days of a lot of reading, I am still having a hard time deciding on a setup.

One problem I'm running into is after a ton of reading, I think I know what I'm looking for, I'm just having a hard time finding the right package.

The main thing that I think would be helpful to me is to find a "Master List" matching up what "platform" (ie. DSE901, 510, 401, 808 etc. etc.) with a particular "branded" setup.

For instance, one rig I'm considering is the Modern Vapor Sidesho or 902. But I don't know what "platform" these run on. (sorry if that's a dumb question). Also looking at the Vapor King from Vapor4Life.com. I think this one is an 808 right? I guess, I'm trying to find some sort of Master List that I can reference as I research different "branded" models.

Ultimately, I'm looking for a complete setup with a PCC (that can charge manual batteries) which is why I'm looking at the Modern Vapor & Vapor4Life setups. I'm leaning towards the Modern Vapor products because after reading, I'm not sure ultimately I want to go with a 2-piece setup (seems like that's a good place to start with the cartomizers but it seems, the seasoned PV users prefer the cart&atomizer over the cartomizers).

Any help either pointing me to a master list of "platforms & brand names" or suggestions on a high quality starter setup with a Portable Charging Case would be great. It seems after several days of reading the forums, that you can't really go wrong starting out with a DSE901 as your platform, but when I search, I don't seem to be able to find a decent setup. They all look cheap and don't seem to come with well designed PCC's that don't charge manual batteries.

Can anyone with experience with MV Sidesho or 902 elaborate for me what "platforms" these ecigs are based on? Are the parts that I need (atomizers, carts, batteries) interchangable with the parts from other vendors (again, sorry if that's a stupid question).

Thanks for your help everyone! Can't wait, ANALOGS ARE KILLING ME!

I know how you feel. Couple of things to note. Most 901s and kr808s are interchangeable. Also, there are adapters that allow you to use most if not all of the main types of batts/attys interchangeably. I have a mega kr808D-1 batt because Scottbee found that it delivered a true 3.7v output under load whereas other penstyle batts had an output under load of 3.1v. On the kr8 batt, I use 901 attys and carts with NO adapter, 510 attys and carts WITH an adapter, and the cartomizers made for the kr8. I didn't get a set. Bought everything listed plus juice, syringe, charger and extra carts/cartomizers for about $80 from Heaven Gifts in China. I ordered on a Sat. night and received my order on the following Fri. morning. I haven't yet found a PCC for the mega batt, but there are lots available for the standard. I'm also awaiting a screwdriver (3.7 mod) starter kit from Trog. He is offering a free 2nd body right now. Good Luck!

Thanks for the help everyone... So, DSE901=RN4075? Is there any difference at all? I thought I read a post somewhere about RN4075 attys being better? So are they the same or just compatible?

So krd808 is compatible with DSE901 is compatible with RN4075?? Is this right?

I guess like a lot of posts that I've read, the more I learn, the more questions I have. Thanks again everyone! Still would like some suggestions on a good setup. Can anyone comment on whether the Vapor King from Vapor4Life.com would be a better way to go or the Modern Vapor Sidesho or 902 and why?

Thanks again! I'm ready to do this!!!

I started out 2/1 with a sidesho and had my last analog the next day.
I have since acquired a 901 as well but I've already burned through a 901 battery & atty where my original sidesho hybrid kit is still running strong.

I think the sidesho is a great place to begin + Tony at Modern Vapor is really quick to answer any questions you may have.
