Hey all,

Really interested in ordering a Super 6 from Super T Manufacturing. Having a hard time deciding on the configuration. I like the all steel like but am also debating on Brass Button, Brass Tip and Brass Adaptor.

Anyone out there with Super 6 experience want to tell me about yours and how you configured it. Is it everything you expected? Any issues with keeping her tarnish free and sparkling?

Pics please if you like. I know it's at least a 3 week wait so want to put in an order soon and forget about it. When it shows up it will be like Christmas or a late Birthday present.

Thanks,

Milo:rolleyes:

I've just recently ordered a unit, brass button and cap and also brass and stainless t-tip. I ordered the brass versions because I just like the way the brass breaks up the look of the unit.

I have heard brass needs a bit of mothering to be kept looking nice, and that it'll add more weight to the device, though I'm not bothered at all about the cleaning or weight. I'd assume stainless is much easier to keep clean and shiny.

But meh, brass looks good to me shiny or tarnished, sort of like a nostalgic feel to me, like I'd be smoking an old brass sextant or something lol.

The unit itself just looks so damn sexy though, brass or stainless. Can't wait!

Well, first of all there is no steel version of the Super 6. It's an aluminum mod. I chose to go with the aluminum switch and aluminum adapter for a couple of reasons; less weight and less maintenance. Keep in mind here, that I'm a top pocket PV carrier so weight might mean more to me than the next guy. Most of the S6's weight is from the installed batteries -- it's as light as can be.

I've had the Super 6 for a few weeks now. The aluminum stays nice and clean with hardly any maintenance at all. A damp paper towel cleans up any residue that emanates from the atty. (I tend to drip w/o my reading glasses on sometimes <g>)

I love the action of the manual switch which is completely customizable in both throw and pressure. It's a simple yet elegant design that should be trouble-free for a long long time. I've had too many mods that have had switch issues previously. The S6's mechanical switch is unlikely to ever fail. It's literally simpler than a ballpoint pen in design and in number of parts.

I've got some Mother's mag wheel polish in the garage, which is what David recommends, but I haven't had the need to use it yet.

Oh, mine is configured for the 801 with the adjustable air flow. I use a few different 801 style attys and it's a great feature. Whether you buy the S6 or not, order a T-Tip at least for your current device. They make life so much easier and look so much better than stock plastic junk.

Good luck with your decision.

Hey Ritchie,

Thanks for the clarification. I meant Aluminum instead of silver. But who knows maybe with the roll out of the Precision in all silver, David might consider another evolution for the S6 in Silver. If he reads these threads, maybe he can pop in and enlighten us.

I know I will be getting both the S6 and Precision, just don't know in what order. If there is to be adjustments or options added to the S6 I'd be willing to wait a bit and take the Precision first.

Either way I agree on the T-Tips. I plan on getting Silver and Brass with Silver and Brass adaptors as well, just to mix it up a bit. Variety man, Variety is the spice of life, right?

I've been eyeballing these too!! I think I'm going to go with the aluminum and brass combo. The brass and aluminum look so classy.:hubba: Would be real nice if it was real silver!:)

Wow, real silver would be ""
Since I already have a Silver Bullet coming, I will have to wait to get
one of these.
I dont think it will vape any better, I just like the design and features.
I esp like the locking button :)

LOL, quit asking him questions so he can crank out the super 6s.....just teasing...
He astually answered in another thread that the weight of Stainless as well as some other factors would prohibit making the Super 6 in stainless....
It really is a tough decision because the S6 has the 2 CR2 battery option or the single 14500 battery options so batter life will be longer on the S6 and it allows a 6V option..
He did say that in March he plans to unveil his big battery mod as well as the 4 in 1 adapter for the S6 as well...
Sooooo.... knowing that, if I didn't already have a S6 on order and getting close to being due (fingers crossed) I might be prone to waiting for that 4 in 1 adapter to come out (that's going to super freaking fantastic)....and just tide myself over with ordering the precise if you're planning on ordering both anyway..

If i were you i'd avoid brass tips at least look it up have heard not good sucking brass best to be safe than sorry:)
No offense..but I'd take anything said from one of the known flunkies and pushers of another mod with a grain of salt..

EDIT: after all we wouldn't want to cause a panic in those millions off brass instrument players would we? or what about all those people using brass adapters that have air passing through them?

The brass tips are the cat's meow. Very convenient for dripping (no taking off the mouthpiece) and soooo handsome. These tips really add substance and quality to the SIX or any other PV.

I got the 510 SIX because the atty is short compared to the length of the 801. To the original poster, you have made the right choice indeed. In fact, anything Super T is the right choice. :D

I have a S6 and a Precise on order... Went with 901's on both....

I only vape at 3.7 and will use protected 14500 on the S6 and protected 10440 on the Precise....

:woot:

I have stainless and brass T-Tips... The brass has not killed me yet.... I am not worried about it... The Brass does require a little more maintenance....

There's a bit of a difference blowing a trumpit for 2 or 3 hours a day to sucking brass for 10 to 12 hours aday
Worth checking for lead see below
To enhance the machinability of brass, lead is often added in concentrations of around 2%. This lead is present on the surface of the material, and thus presents a health concern similar to that of pure lead.

Infact if you can verify safety i would love to purchase a brass tip myself
even a known funky as you put it likes brass

Yet, you're okay with sticking plastic in your mouth as if that is some safe haven?

Toxin BPA Contaminates Plastic Beverage Containers

I'm fine with stainless and brass, thanks. =)

I do not pretend to know the content of the brass that super T uses...I myself stay far far away from brass...just looking at it tarnishes it for me..
Outside of doing a lead test or having some sort of document/certification from the material supplier that he machines them out of..I don't know what to tell you..
The creator himself would have to address that...

My thoughts exactly Drozd,

since I don't have the Super 6 on order yet I just may wait it out and see what that 4 and 1 adaptor looks like, not to mention the big mod. That leaves the precision for now as a sure thing, however I'll be right back here when that big mod comes out... hmmm Big Mod or Super 6.... David's making me crazy.
