Truth is, some people expect vaping to EXACTLY mimic analogs, and that just isn't going to happen. If you want burnt ashes, you have to use a match. That is the plain and simple truth of it. You have to give up a little to gain a lot, and you have to WANT to quit.

I f he could stick with it, he would adjust, but he has to WANT to. You can lead a horse to water... but I'm not trying to discourage your efforts. He has to understand there are no ash clouds with vaping. It gets close, but it will never be exactly like an analog.

That's the hardest part of switching. It doesn't taste the same and for me it was that it doesn't quite feel the same and the action of inhaling is definately different. I find it to be more like smoking hooka than a cigarette, but you get used to it. The first week is the hardest. Once you get through that it becomes a lot easier. Just encourage him to stick with it.

I used to smoke reds and had the same problem at first. The flavor that finally got me to give the cigs up for good was the coffee. My girlfriend was a newport smoker. I had her try every single menthol that we had, and she didnt like any of them. She ended up quitting on the cognac. My point is to just keep trying flavors until he "hits" on one. Once he does, he will be in the clear.

It was the coffee that did it for me, too. Strong enough flavor, stronger than even the tobacco flavors, I would say, but enough of the, "Oooh, yum" factor that made me think, "This is better than cigarettes."
My mom is going through the same thing right now, except she's not using the e-cigarette consistently. She hadn't even used it, as far as I know, until a couple nights ago, when she came up to me and said, "I'm thinking about going and buying a pack of cigarettes." I told her to puff on her e-cig for 10 or 15 minutes first, and if she still wanted one after that, she could go get some.
Even with 0mg carts, she didn't want a cigarette after that.
