i m looking to replace my my current line up of pvs.

i started with normal 510 and quickly bought a chuck. the chuck is great at home and works everytime i need a toot.

so i got a ego and it works well, but because faulty cartos and addys, i dont want to buy any more $27.00 batteries when they short out.

...so i m looking for a mod that can handle any ohm carto, small and light without a mosfet switch, and take a little abuse.

here comes the pipe dream..... i m looking for a PV that works the same way every time i hit it.

Hmmm maybe you'll get more hits in the right sub-forum. I would recommend maybe getting a second hand icon or something similar since they are mechanical (fairly cheap and switch can be cleaned). Another mechanical device would be the REO mini, which is what I currently use. There are some electronic PVs that will make the hit the same on the last hit as they are on the first hit. Those would be the darwin and provari :) Lot of great stuff happening in the PV world.

GLVs have 510 threads but can be adapted to fit whatever other atties & cartos you may prefer. I prefer basic Boge 510 soft-tip cartos like these on my 3.7v GLV Mini and 5v GLV-2. I've never measured them but I've read they are roughly 3.2ohms.

To me, the standard carto on the 5v produces just as much (or more) vapor and TH as a LR atty on the 3.7v but it's less harsh. Everyone's preferences vary so YMMV.

Regardless of the voltage or size, the GLV is, as advertised, "tough as nails" and vapes like a steam-pipe until the batts die.

I went from a 3.7v Little Chuck to the GLV Mini and while the Little Chuck was a great PV, I liked the feel and consistency of the GLV so much I stepped up to a 5v and found my vaping nirvana.

I agree w/Scottitude and it sounds like the GLV would be a good match. I do not have one but those that do really like them. I can however also suggest the ProVape-1. It is a 3.7V unit, very well built and feel just right in your hand. It has a side mounted button. Mine has worked flawlessly for over 3 months and I have dropped it on a tile floor 3 times from a height of 4 feet with only some minor dings.

Depends on your personal vaping habits. I'm a pretty heavy vaper and one pair of moderately used CR123s or 16340s will typically last me from 6 AM until 6 PM. Those with numerous cycles may give out closer to 4 PM and the fresh set will last through the evening till about lunch the next day.

That's with almost non-stop vaping. I have a charger at home and one in the office and rotate through about six pairs as needed. I also keep a 5v PT handy but even that doens't compare to the GLV.

I could get by with two sets but I'm a little paranoid and prepared for a blackout and continue to stock up.

ETA:
Unless you go with something liek a Tekk mod, I'm not sure about the USB connection. Others may have better info on that option.
