I have been trying to read up on what type of portable power pack I can get for my VK passthru. Wow. So confused. Please give me suggestions or links to what would work.

yeah that will do, the important thing is that it wasn't 200ma you would have gotten nothing out of your pass if that were the case

How right you are. You need at least 1A (1000ma) to run a PT. 1.5A was a nice bonus.
BTW, I've worked in communications my entire life... 22 years in the USAF and 15 years in my current job (fiber optics). Gets in your blood, don't it?
