Need help finding the right Christmas gift!

The only other one I can think of off the top of my head is the Kato, but that is a mechanical device.
Joyetech egrip just came out recently. I have no idea how it is but Im sure there are reviews on youtube. Starter kits run around $70.
He has looked at the Kato and doesn't want that one.
I showed him the Joyetech and he is interested but isn't sure if he likes the built in atomizer but he's thinking about it.

The VTR gets much love but the problem is that you have to modify it to work with a variety of sized atomizers. The other problem is that it is a last generation device--there are so many newer, higher, powered box mods arriving on the scene so that the VTR is starting to look obsolete.
Would he be amenable to a box mod where the atomizer sits on top? Also, what is the price range you're considering? There are a lot of great box mods between $60 and $120 which offer greater versatility if he gives up on the side-mounting tank feature.

He is very adamant about the tank being on the side. I just got the epower V3 and he said he does like it but he hates the tank on the top. As far as price, I'm willing to splurge on his Christmas gift. I'll go $100 plus but obviously the cheaper the better! He basically knows I'm buying him a new mod for Christmas so I've showed him the couple that I've found cuz I don't want to buy something if he isn't gonna like it!
The micro stick comes to mind. Takes 18350's, but they have an 18500 adapter.

This Joyetech egrip is nice! We didn't know about this one. Only problem now is my son and bf like it. I might end up buying 2 of these!

I went to your site and I'm confused. It says it ships from the USA but it a as store location is in China. Where would this come from?
It's a chinese company that ships from Oakland CA. They process your order in China and instruct the warehouse to ship it out. My last order took about 5-6 days to arrive. I'd recommend them as long as you know what you're buying. For example, the VTR is a pretty safe bet. I think they offer 5 days of Dead On Arrival service and a 1 month return policy and they've been pretty responsive. They're fairly small now but their product moves fast because of the pricing.
BTW, I have the cloupor box mod and it's very nice.
Fasttech offers 6 month guarantee but they're much slower on shipping (from Hong Kong or Singapore). I've bought from them many times and not had any issues but sometimes their prices can be higher:

I just want to say thank you all for your input. My son actually met someone with the VTR and doesn't like it cuz he had a hard time getting the tank off. I have bought him the epower V3 (shhhhh). I know it's not a side tank but my boyfriend just got me that mod for my birthday and he loved it. But, thanks to this thread he also really likes the egrip and we might get him that too. He's gonna make out Christmas morning! I wish I was still 18 and lived at home with mom so she could buy me a bunch of new vape toys! Sounds weird that I buy my 18 yr old vape toys but I'll do whatever to get him off analogs, completely! Almost there!!
