need help finding thread on rewicking protank 2

ok..i ran across and thread and wasn't logged in at the time (i was at work) and couldnt see the pics..it was an alternative way to wick the protank 2's, with cotton..instead of clipping the cotton off at the edges, it was talking about wrapping in around or something...can anyone point me to this thread or one similiar, or explain what i am supposed to so for this method? reason i am lookin into this method is to prevent leaking and whatever other benefits it may have.

I was looking at this article here and trying to rewick my wife's protank coils.

I'm still having a heck of a time pulling the old wicks without destroying the coils. I think I'm going to try a complete rebuild on a few and see if that works better.
If what your reading was talking about wrapping cotton around it, that may have been a verticle coil rebuild. I have seen a few videos do that.

There is also a huge discussion here on microcoils in the protank, maybe that was where you were.

personally I use ekowool, Tried cotton a few times but it seems to burn too easy. Tried the cotton thing putting it inside like the pics show, but it seemed to cause a airflow problem when the cotton absorbed enough juice.

the no more dry hits was the one I was previously looking at..so thanks for that..and thanks to everyone else for the help/advice..great community you all have here..very glad to be a part of it.
