Hello once again, just wish to get some clarification on how to build a dual coil.
I got a Haze Clone rda for free yesterday and would like to know how to properly set up a dual coil.

So my question now is, how do you compute or build a dual coil?
I made a single coil that reads 2.7 ohms on my multimeter, then I reduce 3 since this is the value I get from my multimeter giving me exactly 2.4 ohms.

My confusion comes to this, in order to get 2.4 ohms on a dual coil setup, do I need to have 2 coils which individually reads 2.4ohms at which point it will give me this computation :

(resistance of coils) x (number of coils) = total resistance of the atomizer

target resistance = (total resistance of the atomizer) ÷ (number of coils)

2.4 ohms x 2 coils = a total of 4.8 ohms

4.8 ohms ÷ 2 coils = 2.4 ohms >>>> my target resistance

Please enlighten me if I am on the right track, I am by the way is very satisfied with the flavor and vapor that I get from a single coil that I use, I dont wish to do sub ohms and just like to be within the 2.2 - 2.4 ohms range...

Thank you for answers.

Yes, u need two coils, each with 4.8 resistance.

Thank you so much. But then again, I'm sorry for being a total newb, so instead of making each coil at 2.4 ohms, i should make 1 coil with 4.8 ohms then another coil with 4.8 ohms? Wouldn't that make a total of 9.6 ohms?

Or do we compute the target ohms by the resistance as a single coil ( 4.8 ohms ) then divide it by the number of coils (2) that we will put on the atomizer?

Thank you so much for the link. I did check on this one, and I would be completely straightforward, I'm having difficulty trying to understand what the numbers to look at for. But I will certainly try to do more research to figure out which is which, It might take a while but I appreciate you lending a hand.

You'd need 2x 4.8Ω coils. Think of the electricity like water. With 2 "pipes" to go through, the resistance is cut in half.

Also, I'm not sure how well a 2.4Ω dual coil would perform. In my experience, single coil is best for the lower wattage / higher ohm range.
