Need help switching to vaping

I originally bought an ego twist with a protank and about 5 ejuices, and it ruined my vaping experiences so i went right back to tobacco again. The ejuices i bought were horrible and the set up i bought was too much stuff to deal with for example if i wanted to try a different ejuice i had to empty and clean the tank and let it dry etc... i think i should have started with something easier and simpler to get me off cigarettes. So does anyone have any suggestions as to what i should get.. like a kit thats easy to use and easy to switch juices etc... im looking at the Emax max vapor starting kit.. like something smaller and easy to work with to initially get me into vaping.. thanks!

Greetings Jeff, welcome to the forum. I've bought some e-liquids that were absolutely unvapable, one bottle I took right back to the store for a refund.

There are lots of good vendors and makers in the US, because I buy in Canada, i'll leave the recommendations for someone on your side of the border.

Off-hand I can't think of any clearomizers which make it easy to swap out flavors. Then again, I use a syringe to fill/empty my RBAs, and there's no reason these wouldn't work on clearomizers. You can get 1 ml or 5 ml syringes, with big blunt-tipped needles, at many vape shops. Ya, they can be a little weird to use...when I need to refill my Genesis-style RBA at work, I do so very discretely.

For instance, here is our setup.

Mines pretty boring too.

There are 3 more tanks not in the picture and one more mod that my gf had at work. It's a lot to do all at once, but its far easier than draining and cleaning tanks for a new flavor.

You could always buy 2 or 3 cheaper tanks, that's what I did. They're about $5 and aren't that great but, until I save up for something better, I can at least keep 3 flavours on the go if I feel like changing it up a bit. They are still perfectly usable.

What I did here. I have 4 different tanks set up with different flavors. Usually have 3 with me at any given time. Keeps the taste buds intrigued.

Who wants to load a tank full of e liquid , just to find out it's disgusting  ? The hardest part is the e liquid. Try some disposable atomizers for trying e liquid. https://highdesertvapes.com/categories/Ecig-Parts-&-Accessories/Atomizers/ You can flush the old flavor out with a new one. Just do a few drops at a time. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/the-ocelot/4005-drip-drip-drip-sound-dripping.html One of the forum members posted that awesome blog on dripping. It's worth checking out :)

Finding juice was the hardest part for me when I started vaping. My suggestion is to try and find a local B&M shop to sample flavors. Look for sampler packs from different vendors. Pick up an atomizer so you can drip and don't have to commit filling a full tank up. Blank cartos work as well. Hope this helps and best of luck to you!

I find the nano clearomizers are good for trying new fluids. You simply empty old contents by removing top, carefuly "flinging" remaining juice into garbage or outside then add a small amount of liquid to be tested. Then, plug the bottom with finger and give a few pulls. This will flood the atty, introducing the new fluid. Blow out the flooded atty and repeat process a few times. I find this is a very reliable way (and alternative to dripping) to cycle fluid and try new flavors out. Hope this helps!

Thanks for all the replies guys I think dripping might work for me so I can try a bunch of juices without buyin a bunch of tanks, are there any dripping starter kits I honesty have no idea where to start I'm gonna read that blog to stsrt

I'm not sure if they have kits. I just got a couple to sample flavors with. I believe I had a LR Joye 510, which was only like $5 but did what I needed. I'm sure someone else can better help you find a good one.

I originally bought an ego twist

So you already have a battery and a charger, you pretty much have the kit already, you just need a few tanks for testing liquids. The best way I've found to do so is use a bottom coil tank such as : DV BCC Clearomizer you don't have to waste the whole bottle filling it up and you can clean/change the coils if you just can't get that nasty flavor out. With the twist battery you want to make sure you're not getting the voltage to hot or to low and burn the liquid you're using as well. Based on the Ohm resistance of the coil the voltage of the battery needs to be adjusted. On average from a 1.8 Ohm coil the voltage needs to be 3.8v-4.2v the thicker the liquid the slightly higher voltage I use. Resistance vs Voltage Safezones for Vaping Chart If the voltage is to high you will get a burnt taste, if to low you get less vapes and after a bit get a burnt taste as well.

The one thing I made sure of when getting off tobacco was to make sure I had high enough nic strength (I smoked full flavor Marlboro Smooths roughly 20mg nic level) in my juices that I would not crave the other source. Smoke free in 1 day and working on my 2nd year off analogs.

I use a cheap drip tank when ever I want to try new flavors at the shop....... if I like it, then I will buy a bottle or two. Everybody has different taste buds, what is lovely to one may not suit someone else...... and at the moment I try to ensure that the nicotine is sufficient...... I have been off the bad habit for the past 1 month plus.

Jeff,

You actually have a good setup, all you need is a minor little alteration for your needs.

If an easy way to sample flavors is what you want then there are two really simple options that will fit right on to your existing eGo.

#1. Mini tanks. ---- As the name implies, these are tiny tanks. They only hold about 1ml of liquid and are really fast and easy to clean out for a different one. If you try a flavor and don't like it, you only lose 1ml by dumping the whole thing out. You can usually get them for only a couple of dollars.

#2. Cartomizers. ---- These are little refillable cartridges rather than tanks. Most are really hard if not impossible to clean, but they're so cheap they should be considered disposable anyways. They usually cost $1-$2 each, and often you can get packs of 10 for just around $5-$7.
