Is there a sticky post or you tube where I can go that explains about ohms, wattage, resistance, voltage and how they work in e-cigs? I am vaping with 510 e-go King and Queen batteries with cartomizers (not clearos) I would like to move up to better equipment. I have been researching box mods and other higher level equipment but I need a better understanding of the batteries and setup. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would look into iSticks. They are tiny little box mods that have excellent battery life.

The 20w is not the best choice if you can get the 30w... even if you only use it at 6-8 watts.

It really is a plug and play device. You just turn it up and down, like a volume control. There isn't any need to understand it any more unless you want to.

$30 should do it. Avoid the rip-off cowboys.... you can use a cartomizer or a clearomizer, or anything in fact. :)

I second the 30 watt iStick for a great beginner mod. Top it with an Aspire Nautilus Mini. Two of the most user friendly and highly regarded gear for beginners. Sometimes you can find the 40 watt iStick for the same price as the 30 like in this sale that ends at midnight tonite....
(I think) Eleaf iStick 40w Temp Control Mod Full Kit - $29.99! Temp control is nice to have to keep you from getting dry hits, but it's new out and most people don't have it yet. The 40w works just like the 30 W with regular coils. With TC you use a special coil and the mod reads the temp to protect you from too much power.

I went to the link you provided but the vendor is out of stock on them. It's not a surprise with that price. LOL I like the look of it. I will check out the other link you sent me. Thank you so much for your help.

Thank you so much for your help. I have had so many problems with clearomizers leaking. I would like to find something with a large tank that I can vape an entire tank full without it leaking or me having to maintenance it. I am a mouth to lung vaper and I like large clouds. That is why I have been checking out the sub-ohm mods. I guess I should put together a list of what I am looking for and try to match the equipment to it. I am also a chain vaper so... Wow, I hope I am not asking for too much LOL

Ok I found Eleaf iStick 40W Temp Control Mod at My Vapor Store for $29.95. It's on sale. I had hoped to use ECF vendors and I'm not sure if they are one. It comes with a charger and a long list of tanks. I know you recommended the Aspire Nautilus Mini and it's on the list but do you know of a tank as good as that one that is larger? I would like to have a large tank. :)

They are and I've used them before. The Nautilus full size is a 5ml tank, but I prefer the Mini. The next tank I would recommend on that list is the Kanger Subtank Mini but I am hesitant to recommend it to a newbie because you get into ohms laws and safety stuff. It would probably be ok if you started with it and the 1.5 ohm coils (you should get spares when you order). Jumping from where you are to a Subtank is quite a leap for a beginner.

Another issue to think about with Subohms is most people cut the nicotine content in half when they move into sub ohms, because the Subtank will guzzle the juice giving you twice or more nicotine, which can make someone sick.

The first thing you should recognize is that big clouds are much more determined by the head than by the battery.
A high-powered battery won't get you what you want unless the head (clearo or dripper) can provide the vape you're looking for.
So you need to change both at the same time.

The aspire nautilus mini is a good choice for a head; there are many others (I use a Herkales and an Arctic, among others).
If you want to get into drippers (which are the best performers) there are many many choices, but these are more complicated
since you would need to wind or buy your own coils and wicks.

Bottom line is that regardless of the battery you put it on, many clearos won't be able to handle the higher power; you have to pick a combo that works well.

The Kanger Subtank Mini, Use the 1.5 ohm coils. I would also recommend buying an inexpensive 510 drip tip to swap out for the wide bore it come with. I mouth to lung hit with my subtanks, as most people lung hit with them. The Subtank Mini holds 4.5 ml. (get a black or white one).

If you get a different tank you're going to have to get different coils for it.

Ok, this looks good for a start. I know you recommended a tank. I will try the Aspire Nautilus on one of the batteries. (I plan to buy 2) Can you recommend another good one that large, say hold 4-5 ML?

I had read that in the forums. I usually use 12. Guess I will go to 6 and buy larger bottles of juice LOL Thanks :)

And another thing about using different tanks, you might need different levels of juice for them, as they will vape differently. I would say to get 2 of the same kind, be it the Nautilus or the Subtank.

Thank you for your help. I think I have decided on that battery and the Nautilus tank. Not the mini but the reg. I hope that is a good combination. Opinion?
