SWEET HOME ALABAMA
I have been vaping since April 2011 and I love it
I do most of my own DIY, and pretty good at it.
I have plenty of supplies, too much actually. I've Been trying to give
some away in the PIF group. Also to help those that can't afford
to waste money on TRYING eliquids to find that they didn't like that one.
But I have a HUGE PROBLEM my downfall is smoking.
I am still gagging 8-oon about 3 cigs
a day. I live with a smoker, so it is even harder.
So I guess my question is,
:confused:Is there a thread devoted to those that need support and encouragement,
on not smoking. Sticking with just the ecigs and mods.
I love my gripper and SweetVapes VVBF, I have 4 Ego's
I use several different flavors a day, I just can't seem to
stay away from that smoke after I eat, or when I first wake up.
Can we (if not already) start a thread for those that are on the fence, so to speak.
For those that need a pat on the back or a kick in the ....
:w00t:Just a little encouragement to stay away from that morning light up.

Just wanted to see what everyone else thought. No slaps in the face please!!!
Thanks, Everyone!!!
(if this is in the wrong place, please move it. Thanks)

I think any place is right for this. We've all needed support, either getting off the weeds, or staying off them.
It might help if you vape higher MG juice during the tough times, or try to limit yourself to cigs from a brand that you don't like.
Hang in there! If you can get away from them for a couple of weeks, they probably won't taste good to you any more.

They don't taste good to me NOW, but I still light one up everytime I open my eyes.
Sometimes I can go a few hours before I pick up that first one. I have not tried increasing
my nic level cause of the TH you get. The higher nic level you have the more TH you get.
I vape mostly VG cause PG gives me headaches. So maybe I will try 20-24mg. See if it
kills my craving altogether. Thanks for your input dordas

I think your biggest problem is you still have access to analogs and lighters, when I got my e-cig, every time I felt the slightest craving for an analog, it would require, scraping the ice of my car, driving to the corner store, and shelling out 14 dollars for a pack of belmonts and a lighter, just knowing I'll have one and probably hate it. After that, it just doesn't seem worth it and I vape instead. It's not as satisfying at that exact moment, but the urge passes and vaping is enjoyable again. You don't need analogs...it's just cause they're right there. You should assess how much you really want to quit. Be honest with yourself in deciding the decision you can actually live with and feel good about. If you decide you want that 1 analog for the morning, it's your choice. Make it a choice and not a point of weakness, part of the plan type deal. At the same time, understand that vaping is as good as it gets solution wise, and you are extremely lucky to have vaping as a smoking cessation tool. If vaping can't help you achieve a sense of good feeling about your nicotine habits, I don't know what will. Just be honest with yourself :)

I agree. I choose to smoke 2 cigs a day, at night before bed. I went from 2+pad to 2 cigs a day in 2 months of gradually cutting down. that was march 2011. I'm old, I loved smoking, only need to quit because of the $$.
in case it helps, I got rid of the waking up cig and the after meals cigs by waiting. first I waited 10 min while I vaped. then I had the cig - guilt free - then in a few days I waited 20 min, then 30, etc until soon it was 1 in the afternoon before I had my first cig of the day! I think for me refusing to feel guilty helped a lot. I didn't think of how many I was smoking, instead I was proud of how many I wasn't smoking!

What helped me when I started was I never had my brand of choice around. I got a bag of tobacco and some RYO papers. They don't taste good and it's work if you want one. Being lazy by nature, it was just easier to vape than smoke.

My husband and I both decided to quit smoking several years ago. He did, I didn't. He was able to quit even though I continued to smoke. I'm not sure I could have done it, but I think I have a more addictive personality than he does. Unless you count addicted to golf. My point I guess is it can be done. Probably harder than if he didn't smoke, but I bet you can do it!

I think what pushed me over the edge was the damn smell. I hated it and hated that people thought I smelled. How gross is that.

Yes you are right I do have to be honest with myself, I thought I had. But when I think about it, I really just need to stop picking up that morning cig and grab my VVBF. It hits the hardest @5volts w/2.5ohm atomizer. As they are easy to grab, what do I want more. Thanks tony

I was gonna suggest upping the nic mg as well. I find that if I takes a few vape puffs on something REALLY strong, I feel kinda sick almost. It definitely makes me not want anything for a while. Then, after I "recover" LOL, I go back to my normal 16 - 18 mg stuff.

You know something, I have already started doing this....
I got one, that after 2-3 hits, the TH is so bad/good that I don't want ANYTHING for a while, I could do without the nausous feeling tho. Maybe just back down to about 22mg. That other one is 24-25mg. Had to add two or three drops of flavor so it is a hair less than 25mg. Thanks for your input

I'm sorry ECF I don't know how to multi-quote the messages. So I had to post twice.
