Hi all,

First of all, being new to vaping, I ordered my first ecig from smokingstick.com. As of today, I have not had an analog, or a craving for one since 7/1/10. I seem to be having no problems with my hardware, I'm refilling my carts with liquid and no problems there either but my question is, what he heck model do I have. There is nothing on their website telling me what the batteries are or anything like that. Any help defining what I have would be very helpful in getting backup batteries, carts and attys a little cheaper.

Thanks for your help and thanks to this forum for all the support I get here...

Found this on a complaint site
they use the same cartridges as BLU and Eluma E-cigs use. They should be interchangeable

Basic rule applies. If you like what you have and have no problems with the supplier, keep using it/them. If you want to 'upgrade' to longer lasting battery, better service, etc then you have to do what every other vaper has done. Use your experience with the starter set to determine your next move. As you have already found out, buying a branded name can put you in a bit of a box. Unless you can find someone who has already figured out that it's just a fancy wrapper on a common model, you are stuck buying what that company offers.

Remember this is all about what works for you and your wallet in most cases. If you like an automatic three piece, then there are many that will work. Even the 510's which the manual is most popular has auto's available. Passthru's are also a good next step allowing you to save your batteries for use away from home/car/etc.

Best I can tell you have the basic mini auto with atty and cartridge. If you love this form factor there are a lot of options. If you have issues with the battery life then next step is something like the 510 mega then Riva/etc then well then you'll have to think about a mod with real batteries. Options are unfortunately endless, but at least a starter kit on most models is equivalent to buying a carton in price. Look at some of the vendors links/reviews and you should be able to find what you are looking for.

Supposedly some issues with this particular company's customer service (common problem with a lot of online companies), but wont know till you try. Shouldnt have any trouble getting advice or questions answered by ECF vendors. If you find one you think has what your looking for, email them with details on your unit and I'm sure they can recommend something they carry.

Feel free to PM me if you want a recommendation. Just think about what you have first then you have a good basis on the next step. You are not 'stuck' with what you have now, but if you are happy then no reason to get the latest greatest mod.

the atomizer threading looks like the 510 ones from what I can see but, that may not be the case.. Gave away my last 510 cartomizers and atties today but if you PM me your address I can send you a used 510 cartomizer and if it fits and you hear it sizzling than you will know for sure if you can use 510 stuff with what you got..

You definitely do not have an 808 or a M401/2/3 series. I have both of those and can tell that for sure..

For future reference, how can you tell?
Because looking at the atomizer on their website, it sure looks like it could be one.

Gold part is an outtie.. m-series atties are innies, cartomizers for the 808 are as well..

510's are outties but, not sure this is one either since gold part looks shorter on pic but that could be cause of the pic..

I hate to say it but I'm pretty sure that's not the case.
Every picture I've ever seen of an M401 atomizer is an "outtie".

Just google "M401 atomizer" and click on any of the resulting links.
:)

LOL and I'm pretty sure it is the case :)
ya have to be thinking of something else cause for one, I have a M401/2 and can clearly see the atties are innies, which is also the case for the 403 since they are interchangeable and second I went and got ya some pics and a link to prove it :D

pic of 401 atties; innie :)

2nd cig is the battery: outtie :)

You can verify info at and see other models at vapeAtron: M401

I saw that vapetron link earlier, before I replied this afternoon.
It doesn't show the atomizers without a cartridge attached.

But you didn't do what I suggested, which will show you many pictures of M401 atomizers.
And they are all "outties" with exposed bridges.

Maybe we just disagree on what is an "outtie" and what is an "innie".

This seems very likely, because you called a 510 atomizer an "outtie" earlier.
I would have called it an "innie" though.

The correct terminology, to avoid confusion, is exposed atomizers and recessed atomizers.

But regardless, the original poster's atomizer certainly does look like it could be an M401 atomizer.
Although after looking at more pictures, I'm thinking it is more likely an RN4081 atomizer.

It looks like an L88B to me. Check out Volcanoecigs for a more prices. Not sure if they are that much cheaper, but they do have blank carts available.

What you might want to do is order just one atty and see if it work. If it does, then you know what threading it has. If Blu or Volcano attys fit on your batteries, then 510 parts will fit too. That opens you up to bigger batteries and mods and you'll still be able to use what's been successful for you.

I didn't do what you suggested cause I already knew and still know the correct answer :)

Mseries atomizer innie's connects to the battery outtie, which is clearly shown in pics I put on here for proof :) therefore, we are definitely talking about two different things.. I am not talking about the top of the atomizer were bridge is itself, this info wouldn't help poster figure out what else they can buy to connect with their current batteries or atties.. when we are reffering to outties and innies we are reffering to the connection/thread parts :)

I think (may be wrong) what Sylvie is calling "outie" and "innie" is the threading. No? I'm thinking she's referring to the male vs. female threading....not the actual bridge. That may clear up the misunderstanding.

male and female threading that is it!! I could not remember propper term for the life of me lol
