Soo, I don't know if it is just me, but having a BCC such as the Kanger Pro tank makes me appreciate my ViVi Nova and my RSST more because they are top coil and I can control juice Flow, or am I doing something wrong. It seems like either my Protank Floods, or I get a REALLY REALLY REALLY dry hit. Enough to make me vomit for real:(.

Here is what I have tried, yes I have tried rebuilding the heads with cotton, and well.. Cotton is too good of a wick (mind you I vape 80 PG 20 VG juices), I have tried removing 1 or two flavor wicks, and I have tried bumping my voltage down to below manufacturer recommended points on a provari (so I know my .... is accurate).

Anyone know why this is happening? Maybe something I missed on the "How to use a Kanger ProTank" tutorial?

Nope, ,protank is designed for average mix 70/30 to 50/50 others may need to adjust.
Many things can effect BCC wicking
Time after fill, before vape
length/strength of vape
Repeated hits - chain vaping
Time left sitting
thickness of liquid
Air leaks in tank(sealing issues)

Simply put not all suggestions for fixing will work for all users.

Oh boy, Protank, cotton high PG, the fun of it huh? I run 100% PG in a Protank, with all cotton wicks, on a Provari at 4.2 and up. Yes it can be done and, yes it's a tight blance between dry and mouth full of juice/flooded.

First, ditch the cotton balls or yarn, they wick too well, now go get some cheesecloth, unravel about 28 to 30 strand and, use the last one to spiral wrap the rest so it' easier to get into your Protank. Install and trim the wick to length. Repeat for the flavor wicks.

Now fill just over 3/4 full, let it sit there one minute, pull once for 2 seconds w/o firing the battery - gently. Now fire for a moment, less than a second then vape, very gently, like sucking the steam off a pot of water w/o making the surface of the water move at all for 3-4 seconds. Let go of the button and, enjoy nice vapor. Very light, gentle pull, or you will flood the poor thing - yes it feels really airy but, that's a protank and, the thinner high PG vapor will enhance the light feel of your vapor - also enhances flavor so good trade off.

Yup I have a cotton ball that is double boiled... I figured cotton wicks too well.. Works wonders on a ViVi nova, if I don't try a nice 3 pieces of cotton (6 wicks), and all I get is no vapor and massive flooding because even standing upright it wicks that damn well. Is there a way to adapt SS Mesh to work with a ProTank?

My very first attempt at rebuild was putting a single Q-tip cotton into the protank coils. It worked beautifully for about 5 days before the cotton pooped out. You have to have that flavor wick inplace to block up the hole between the bottom of the silicone cap and the top of the wick, especially if your using something that isn't dense like 2mm ekowool wick. Cut the wick off of a old top wick clearo and place a longer flavor wick instead of those short cheap stock ones. I use 1mm wicking as flavor wick and none of my protanks or T3's gurgle or leak. Kanger is real cheap on the wicking and flavor wicks in the stock heads so you have to beef up the flavor wick to compensate the coil wick.
I found the 2mm hollow ekowool with a single 1mm flavor wick is IMO the best combo for protank heads with no leaking at all and I've been rebuilding the same heads over and over for bout a month and none have had any issues with leaking or gurgling.
