Yes, you can use single coils with that model tank. I would recommend the carto found on the bottom link. It comes with a stopper at the bottom of the carto that prevents it from sliding off of the tank. VERY USEFUL. In addiction the carto is already hole punched so that you're juice can seep in and keep your carto full. Its the same carto I use every day. I'd recommend picking up about 5 of them. Trust me, its nice having a couple on hand just encase.

Can i use single coil carto's with this and if so which ones. If you could post a direct link to them would be great thanksSmokTank XL - Gun Metal Locking Cartomizer Tank Only - New tank design, 6ml
You can use single coil cartomizers in that tank as long as they are 45mm length, or the XL length such as Smoktek tank replacement or Boge XL, or Ikenvape Mega.

Not sure that I would recomend that particular tank because it's tube is made of polycarbonate, and with some juices it can crack or even melt. Using a pyrex or polypropylene-tubed tank takes the guess work from worrying if a juice will be safe to use or not.

So if i get the xl does that change the style of the carto's?
I'm not sure what you mean "style"?

The XL length tank would use a "pre-punched", single coil, 2.5-3.0 ohm, XL length cartomizer. An example of brand name cartomizers would be Smoktek, Boge XL, or Ikenvape mega.

I think the names "mega", "XL" and etc are throwing you off man. Unless you come across something that says differently, you can pretty much assume any carto you find will fit fine in a tank.

Not so fast, Grasshopper.

Just ordering a "Boge" or "Ikenvape" doesn't mean they will fit an XL tank like sumdumpanda wants. Boge and Ikenvape make both a standard length and XL length carto. Ikenvape just happens to call their longer cartos mega. Boge calls their longer cartos Boge XL. Smoktek pretty much just makes the longer size cartos, but they call their single coils DCT replacements, which is an oxymoron (DCT = dual coil tank).

It can be extremely confusing to someone new, but I don't know an easier way to explain it.

so should i get that tank in regular or xl and whats the difference?

IBTanked-large-small.jpg

The difference is in liquid capacity and length of cartomizer needed.

The standard tank has a liquid capacity of 1.5 ml

The XL has a liquid capacity of 2 ml

There's not much difference in the length of cartomizers unless you already have a preference for a particular brand of cartomizer. Boges are quite plentiful to find in a standard length, but not all vendors carry their Boge XL length.

About every vendor carries the Smoktek brand in a dual coil, but not all sell them with a single coil that are pre-punched.

That's a $100 customized tank.

The endcaps are from Hoosier Vapes ($50). The top twists off the tank for easy juice filling.

The tube is pyrex glass from Phiniac. I had them custom color-sandblast the African design. ($50).

Nice, huh? :D
