I have the Kanger EVOD and love it. I have a 1.8ohms coil and a Spinner battery 1300. The voltage I vap on around a 3.5 because of the coil resistance. On the first tank I filled it was great. Then I refilled, now I at the half way mark with liquid and 2 things are happening. 1- it gurgles when I vap 2- it's hard to vap, it feels tight when I vap.

I am sure if I change the coil it would fix the problem but the coil is only 1 week old. Is there something I can do to fix this issue? Thank you

I usually get some gurgling after i refill. I take a qtip that the cotton is tightly wrapped around the end of the qtip. (I've noticed one side of a qtip is smaller than the other.. use the smaller side. push (don't force) it down gently through the mouthpiece and down into the center post. Swirl around so it will soak up excess liquid.

I've found that to be a major issue with EVODs and T3s. I used pipe cleaners to go down through the center post and that sometimes works. They're great on a dry fill but trying to add juice makes them leak. You don't need to throw the coil head away, just clean all parts in as hot of water that you can stand. I dry them off, soak in vodka over night, rinse and wipe off excess water, and then let air dry for 24 hrs. Then, they're good to go again :).

I don't even go that far. I rinse under hot water every couple days, pat with paper towel, refill and vape away. Of all the things that have leaked on me, for me at least, the EVOD is the one thing that DOESNT leak on me... go figure My Protank gurgles and leaks constantly, but my EVODS are golden.

I still think OP is using it at too low at voltage to completely vaporize the feeding eliquid

Thank you for your feedback.

1- I am using a 50/50 liquid
2- I agree with the poster who stated in a dry fill EVOD works great. I seem to have issues with refill. Simple solution for me is to rinse our the tank and put a new coil. Problem is new coil will cost me if I have to do that every time.

Ok so I took the advise of one of the posters and put my pinky on the bottom part and blow from the top part. Sure enough liquid came out. I also found a drop on the battery. Cleaned the battery, put the EVOD back but it didn't solve the problem. So I decided to rinse the tank, rinse the coil ( blew through the coil to make sure it's dry ), dry everything and refill the tank. The gurgling noise is gone, vape comes out, smokes well, but the flavor is not up to par.

Am I doing something wrong?

Also to the poster who stated I might not be using enough voltage. Forgive me because I am new to all this but I thought if I go over the 3.8 then I would burn the coil? ( using a 1.8 coil ) Also I tried vaping at higher but I was getting a burnt taste so I keep the voltage low.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thank you again

Also, OP, do you continue to inhale for a short period after you remove your finger from the fire button? This will help reduce condensation buildup around the battery connector. And FWIW I run my 1.8 EVOD heads at 3.9-4.0V and my 2.5 EVOD heads at 4.5-4.7V no problems, and again, I have no leaking or gurgling issues on any of them. Obviously if you are getting a burnt taste back if off a bit, which you seem to grasp the concept of, it was just a thought and suggestion on the voltage. Hope you figure it out!

It might also be the type of juice you vape. The darker and sweeter juices seem to gunk the coil quicker than others. If that's the case, it might be that the heat transfer is down, so you don't vaporize the juice as well. So more is left on the wick, to drain down...

Higher voltage might help, for a while. But recoiling, dry burning or replacing the head might be in order.

Great information guys, thank you all. Also stillnotsmoking thank you for the tip on continuing to inhale a second after I stop pressing the button. That helped.

DavidOck I believe you might be right. I am using 50/50 juice and after going through all my steps I came to the conclusion that my juice is basically is " gunk the coil " as you put it which makes sense.

Once again, thank you all on the cleaning tips and information.

I have several Evods and some of them sit for several days between use. I haven't had any issues with them that I would attribute to this. But it sounds like yours is getting gunked up for some reason. You can clean the heads but I recommend end that you learn to rebuild them. It is actually very easy. I rebuild mine with square braid cotton wick and 32 kanthal. I don't use a flavor wick. Overall performance is much better than the factory heads, both flavor and vapor production. I also drill out at least one of the air holes with a 1/16" drill for a little better airflow. They were good to begin with but really great now. I use them all the time.

I've been praising mine to the skies, and today it starts leaking. ??? From the bottom onto the battery, as well as large amounts from the tip, way more than the usual condensation. Been using the head around 4 days. . .took it apart, the head was firmly connected to the base, the base was firmly connected to the tank, and tight enough but not too tight with the battery.

Think I cracked it somehow?
