The Triton tank is what is called a "clearomizer" or clearotank. This means that it uses silica string wicks to supply your e-liquid to the head, or heating coil. These wicks need to stay wet at all times, or you can get a dry hit or burnt taste. So be sure there is plenty of juice in the tank, and should the juice level get low frequently tip or swirl the tank to keep the wicks wet.

How was the flavor of your juice when you first began using the tank? Did you notice the burnt taste initially, or did it occur later? The heating coils in these clearomizers are available in different resistances, or ohm ratings. The resistance rating will affect the nature of your vapor experience.

Lower ohms (lower numbers) will produce a warmer vape, which some people may interpret as a burnt taste or harsh. Standard ohms (mid-range numbers) will produce a cooler vape, which for some people will be a less harsh or smooth vape, but for others will not have the warmer throat hit that they prefer. Higher ohms (higher numbers) are for regulated battery devices that can change the voltage used while vaping. You didn't mention what battery device that you are using with your Triton clearomizer tank, so if using a low ohm head, you can purchase replacement heads with a higher ohmed coil head.

You may need to clean your clearmizer from time to time. Here is a video demonstration:
