I am in need as well. I'm not very tech savvy and I'm terrible confused. I bought a LT mini (the power button is RED). I bought dual coil Cartos for a Phiniac tank I bought for it. The batts that came with it pretty much died so I bought the correct size but 1200 mAh...instead of 700 mAh's that came with it.

I filled my tank with my favorite go to juice..mocha java...from the first hit I got a very strong tobacco flavor. It not a tobacco juice that I read. I pulled the juice out and began again. This time I used a dual coil tank with a dual coil carto and put some other juice in. This time I could barely get a good draw on it...no flavor or throat hit but some vapor. I tried all different voltages on both tanks.

I'm so frustrated because I've researched a lot but obviously not the right things. It's all so confusing...ohms, mAh, low/high resistance, single/dual coil.

Thank goodness I have a Rough Stack and a bunch of cartomizers because I'm pretty new to this so I'm trying a ton of flavors.

Would someone be so kind as to tell me what battery to use, Cartos to use with my Phiniac tank and would you recommend another type of tank to use with my LT?

Any help would be very appreciated! Betsy

Betsy, the 18650 should fit your LT just fine and is generally 2,000+ mah battery. Only use the AW version as it is a safer battery. I also believe the LT works best with the flat top version of the battery. The version with the nipple on top may be a tight squeeze in the LT.

You'll probably get mixed responses here on the dual coil carto's, but I really don't see the need for them with a big VV PV like the LT. You can certainly use the ones you have, but I wouldn't reorder them. Also, don't buy low resistance carto's for use on the LT. They will really limit the voltage range you can use making it harder to find the vape you like best. I have found the best success with the Boge 3 ohm carto's The will work on you Phiniac just fine. Just make sure you get the right size carto to match your Phiniac.

You might also want to try a clearomizer - something like the Phoenix or Vivi Nova. They are a lot less finicky than the carto/tank systems. You just fill them and vape.

Whichever juice system you use, start vaping first with a lower voltage, 3.5 volts or so. Then, slowly increase until you get to a taste you don't like, vapor too hot, slightly burnt flame, etc.

First fill of a carto is very important. Note in the vid below when filling push the carto down VERY SLOWLY into the condom of juice:

Good Luck.

I bought 510 LR & SR pre-punched cartos. I did make the holes a little bigger.
I fill the tank with a slant tip tool, push the carto all the way through and prime the carto a little before I vape. I hope that helps.

EDIT:
Didnt see the mini lt. sorry if I misinformed you

I have found that using a higher resistance single coil carto is better. Like this one:
Single Coil XL Tank Cartomizer for the SmokTank XL

I fill my tanks the same as you and prefill the cartos with 20 or so drops. Periodically I rewet the carto. I've never used the condom method to fill them.

I agree with Flyer. You can also try the Kanger cartos.Whatever carto you buy, make sure is single coil and 2.8-3 ohms so you can adjust the voltage like Flyer says.Bare in mind that if you don't fill cartos the right way they will be burned and you will get a burnt taste.Of course the need to be thrown away. Also din't try to make the holes bigger yet, there is a danger of destroying them.At first use the prepunched cartos with a juice that's not 100% VG.Let's say 50-50%.The reason is for you to learn how to fill and treat the cartos the right way. Each step at a time, don't panic!

Definitely DO NOT use dual coil low resistance cartos in your LT. If you stick with single coil cartos between 2.5 and 3.0 ohms for everything, you will not run into the issue of the LT automatically adjusting your voltage down to 3.7V to avoid hitting its 2.5 Amp limit. You'll be able to use whatever voltage YOU choose. This is what's been happening to you so far.

You need 18350 flat top IMR batteries for a LT mini. AW makes them in 700mah and they're available at SuperTmanufacturing.com, among other places.

Phiniac tanks, or any other tanks, are just fine for your LT. Your entire problem is the use of the standard Dual Coil cartomizers, which are probably 1.5ohm (Low Resistance). If you stick to Single Coil, 2.5-3.0ohm cartomizers, you can use any tank, or no tank, you want. Even if you use SR Dual Coil, you will not get good results. They'll work better than LR, but not good. Just stick to Single Coil SR cartos. There's no advantage to using anything else with a LT.

guys, she said she bought the mini, not the standard, so she would be using 18350s, not 18650s, but i know exactly nothing about where to get good batteries for it.

personally in my phiniac, i use 3.0 ohm Single Coil cartos, seems to work well

Where do you get them I've been searching but only find single soil tank replacements with 1.7 ohm...
