I have just resently starting using a pv, after a few days im not completely satisfied. The short battery life does not bother me, I know I can get a bigger battery. I am careful of how much juice i put on the little piece of white batting in the refillable cartridge things that came with my starter kit, but it still leaks. Vapor production is not that great, and there is not much taste when i use it. I have seen many parts that say are compatible with the 510. I guess my biggest question is it worth it to get different parts to make it better or just getting a different pv kit? Also which Pv?

Now, if you have a small cig size batt, you won't be able to use alot of the 510 accessories, most LR or higher OHMS are meant for bigger batteries. You can try Smokeless Image or V4L- they have great small sized matching batteries and accessories, and are very popular here.

Most folks move on from the atty/cartridge combo to some kind of carto/clearomizer/tank combination.

I had the same problem as you when I started vaping. I also had a 510 and was using the atomizers and cartridges with filler. Loved it at first, after a few days, like you, it didn't feel satisfying. No matter how much i topped off the cartridges, it just wasn't giving me the same vape experience. I continued to grow frustrated, and actually almost quit vaping for this reason.

Fast forward to my getting ego batts and totally nixing the cartridge and attys and instead using cartos. Best thing ever. Two years later I am still happy with this same set up.

A 510 not only has low battery life, it also progressively loses battery power as it is used. So it will only give you really good vapes after you first charge it. From there it starts to keep going downhill a bit. If you really want to keep using the 510, at a minimum at least try to switch to cartos vs attys. I tried drip tips for awhile, but cartos really were the sweet spot. Right now I use the Stardust clearo's but for a long time I used the Joye 510 cartomizers from Cignot. They are super easy to fill just by dripping about ten to 15 drops directly into the threaded side.

    Good luck!:vapor:

You can try an Kanger horizontal 510 cartomizer, it is the best with a 510 batt. it will take care of the leakage issue too

I started off with the atty + cart combo and then vendor that I bought my 510 kit from sent me a free cartomizer just to try it out. I like it much better. It's just a standard one (from what I can tell anyway) and you can probably pick up a couple to try from where ever you bought your kit from.

As for upgrading a whole kit, good luck sifting through all of the recommendations that you'll get. Personally, I am waiting for the arrival of my Silver Bullet which will be the second kit (and hopefully last) that I will need while I continue to vape. I'm not into collecting and wanted something simple, easy to use and will last me a long time (in terms of quality and vaping time). I also like using a manual style instead of automatic.

thank you, I will try that !

You might also try Fluffing Up the Filler Material in the Cart.

You can also take the Filler Material out of the Cart and Rinse it in Warm Water and then dry in in a Rolled Up Paper Towel.

When it is New it is sort of Springy. But after a week or so it tends to get Smushed Down. This can cause it to not make good contact with the Atomizer and or Leak.

I would agree with others that are saying you should give cartomizers a shot. They're much easier to use than atomizers, especially for a beginner, and you don't have to fill them half as often. The vape is far more satisfying. I highly suggest Boge LR (low resistance) cartos, but you will more than likely want a larger battery for them. In the mean time, Boge SR (standard resistance) cartos are great too. You can get them at Canvape.com for $7/box of 5 :) I get at least a week of moderate to heavy vaping out of a single Boge carto, so they're very cost effective too.

I sooo agree with the cartomizers! I had a pile of 510 stuff I bought two years ago that are collecting dust. I didn't know I could get cartomizers for them and just recently ( 10 days ago ) ordered a new kit to try vaping again and it has cartomizers.

To me it is a world of difference in functionality and ease of use. Start with that and then decide from there.

You were very smart to start asking in here, people are friendly and SO HELPFUL!
