Hi guys,

I have been waiting a couple of weeks for my ego-T kit to arrive and it turned up today, I ordered this kit 650mAh Twin EGO-T 3~4V Variable Voltage LED (Black) 54426 eGo from Vapour Heaven.

Inside the kit was everything you would expect to receive, but i was surprised that the 5 cartridges appeared to be pre-filled? They were in small factory sealed packs that had "MLB HIGH" printed on the outside, there were also two additional cartridges without end caps.

I figured, that's a result as I didn't expect any juice with my kit, I am at work and the juice I had ordered to use with my ego was at home.

I charged the batteries, attempted to blow any primer from the atomizer on to a tissue like I read (none seemed to come out) and assembled the unit, I took about 4 dry puffs and then vaped.

Well it vaped just fine but oh my god what a taste! Really bad, hard to describe but I guess kinda oily?

I removed the cartridge, popped the cap and washed it out so I can try my own juice later tonight but my questions are as follows.

Is it normal to get pre-filled cartridges with the kit?
Was that taste just the primer on the wick? (which I assume will go in due course)

I will probably wash all the liquid out of the pre filled cartridges because I don't know what it is.

Anyone else experienced this at all?

Also the site I got it from advertises the ego-t as variable voltage, which I'm not so sure it is because I cant see anywhere in the instructions that say you can change the voltage. I should note, all came packaged in the usual box and instructions as you see in the review videos scattered about.

Thanks in advance.

The prefilled carts aren't unusual. The wick could have been primed and that could have contributed to the horrible taste. You can soak the attys in some PGA or vodka, blow them out, and let them air dry and try another prefilled cart or just stick with your own favorite juice.

To change the voltage settings, I believe you click the fire button five times.

I got 5 prefilled carts with my Ego t2 and at first they were nasty, but after blowing out the primer on the atty about five different times they were good. It all depends on your taste I guess, but yes it is normal. I would suggest getting a clearomizer, because those carts/cartomizers are a pain in the rear! :) Just my opinion lol

Thanks for the tip. Seems I may have been blowing out the primer wrong. Some guy said to put the tissue on the battery end, but I just read you should blow from that end. Now I'm not sure

Either way, it sounds like it's an issue with me, rather than the unit.

    Hi,

Ok so I got home and tried to blow the primer out of the atty, nothing came out? I blew really hard from the battery end onto a tissue and not a single drop of anything came out, so I figured maybe that oily taste came from some residue on the wick that would burn out.

I filled a cartridge with my own e-liquid, pushed it into the atty and let it sit for a couple of minutes, I dry pulled on it a few times and then tried to vape. I still had a faint oily taste and there was hardly any vapour at all. Tried to vape again and nothing.

Do I need to clean the attys before I use them? should I boil them and let them dry overnight? I don't really want to start stripping things down and I had thought I would at least get some use out of them before I had to start cleaning stuff.

I'm sorry for the noobie questions guys but I really don't know what I'm meant to do here. I'm now wondering if my juice is too thick, but I did read on this forum that another user had no issues with his high VG juice. Mine is 50/50 I believe.

    Thanks in advance.

the prefilled carts suck, no easy way to say it, they are considered very unreliable, first try more then one to see if it works at all, then are you sure the battery is on? and or charged? make sure they are charged fully.
then try both batts to be sure. then per instructions try changing the voltage of the battery, that one has the little lighted ring Right? go through all 3 settings.
Im trying to run you through all your hardware if the batteries are really working and none of the carts work then you may have a damaged/dead atty.
    If

Last thing you want to hear is wait some more but the best thing to do is chuck those carts, get a vivi mini or some rebuildable CE4/5/ego type clearomizers if you are sure the batteries are working.
