So my hcigar Nemesis clone got here today and I think there is something wrong with it. I've tried putting it together in every combination imaginable and I can't get it to work with my vtc5 batteries so I started looking at pictures and I think the top part of the tube is supposed to be two pieces but mine is deffinetly isnt. This is my first mech device so im not sure if im missing something or there actually is a problem with it. What do i do guys?

If someone can tell me how to post pictures I took some of the part I'm talking about. It has a line inside at what looks to be the right place for it to separate but on the outside you can tell it's definitely one piece of metal. Maybe a production defect?

First stick your finger inside the top section and loosen the metal contact you feel, screw on the atty or whatever, tighten the contact till it touches just a good contact no tools req., then put in your battery (18650 needs just the top and bottom nothing else), with the button loose screw them together, tighten the fire button to secure battery, then hit...hopefully this will be of some help

OK so I watched the video and assembled mine along with him as he was assembling his and it's still not short enough to make a connection on the battery. The battery has about 3/4 of an inch to move back and forth. He also had a piece that I don't have that he mentions he doesn't need towards the beginning of the video. From other videos I watched while waiting on the mail to get here I think that goes between the afc and the top tube that sits on the polished beauty ring. On mine it seems like that piece and the top tube are one piece. I think that's what's making it too long. I also tried adjusting conection pin on the spring almost all the way out to try to meet up with the battery but it couldn't take up all the slack. Anything else anyone can think of to try?
Thank you for all the replies. You guys are way faster than any customer service.

I did some speed reading on the copper Nemesis thread that was linked and in those pictures it looks like the top tube section is shorter than the bottom one but on mine the top tube is the same length as the bottom tube with the switch installed and screwed all the way in. Is that the correct length for it?

Also mine is SS in case that matters

30+years: I wouldnt think there should be a seam there either which is why I was trying to unscrew it but it won't come apart and there isn't a seam at all on the outside. Could they tighten it enough that the seam wouldnt be visable?

If you have a picture you can just attach it to a "quick reply". If you look at the icon bar at the top of your new message, you will see (at the far right) a:

1. Globe - to attach a link
2. Letter - to attach an email
3. Globe w/x - to detach a link
4. Square - to attach a picture
5. Filmstrip - to attach a video
6. Text Box - to wrap text in quotes.

Choose #4 - and then either chose "from computer" (attach file from your computer) or choose "URL" (to attach a picture from the internet).

I assume the battery is in the device, i also will assume that your atty is making contact with ur positive pin. Back out the pin screw your atty in tighten the pin and your good to go.
Your nemmy should only have the polished top cap and locking ring
I had an ossue with mine thinking i needed nipple tops (i was a noob) but all i needed was to take the tiny polished silver ring out (used to it a fuse) then all worked fine i could get rid of battery rattle and make contact with both ends of the battery.
mine is the hcigar version for reference.

I haven't been using the middle polished ring and there is a gap of about 3/4 inch between the top of the battery and the 510 connection pin with the switch screwed all the way in (you cant even press it) and the switch connection pin screwed almost all the way out to push the battery farther up. Is there an adjustment somewhere I could be overlooking?

Mine is also Hcigar =[

I finally got it! Electrical tape wrapped around the tube a bunch of times to protect the metal in conjunction with a vise and a big pair of pliers got the top tube into two pieces. Now I'm just amazed that Hcigar was able to get it together so precisely that there wasn't a visible seam at all on the outside. Thanks to everybody for all the suggestions! Happy vapin
