I have an authentic Kanger Pro tank 2.

I went to refill it with juice and the glass tank separated from the top and bottom metal pieces leaving me with just the actual glass tank in my hand.

I looked down inside both metal pieces and the rubber washers are still there. I pulled them out and they look like new.

I figured I just had to screw the lower metal base onto the glass tank to get everything back together. This didn't work.

I viewed several You Tube videos how to replace the glass tank and they show the top of the glass tank slips into the top metal piece and then the bottom of the glass tank screws into the bottom metal base.

I looked at both the glass tank and lower metal base and there are no threads on either.

I also tried pressing everything together but they just fall right apart.

Can someone help me? I have a replacement glass tank which I tried but I got the same exact results.

Arghhhhh!

The parts that screw together are the narrow tube sections in the center. The glass part is not screwed, it's just held in place by the top and bottom metal parts. Maybe try screwing the top and bottom parts together without the glass, just to get a feel for how it works.

If you see here, the chimney is threaded to keep the sections together with the glass held in between.

I would seat the glass into the top section (with the mouthpiece) then put the bottom on it and screw it on. As far as I remember there really is no wrong way to put the glass in, as long as the washers are in place.

I tried what you both suggested and now see how the device is supposed to go back together.

I did exactly as suggested and tried pressing the bottom and tops together and screw the base in. The threads would not catch. In fact, I pushed them together so hard that the glass tank shattered. I tried it again with a new glass tank and it still wouldn't screw back together.

I was able to screw the top and bottom together without the glass tank so I know the threads are not messed up and that I am tightening it the right direction.

I don't want to toss this in the trash as I have had it only a few months. They aren't cheap.

Thanks so much everyone. Your info has helped tremendously, but.....Help????

From what you are describing it sounds like the orings/gaskets are not seated properly.
I know you said they look new but it is possible they swelled up.
Some juices can cause that to happen it's not common but not unheard of.
Try washing the orings in hot water and let them air dry, then try to reassemble the tank.
You should not have to use force to get it to fit. (Try new orings)

The other possibility is that somehow the center post has gotten bent. A drop or hard bump
could have done just enough to make it not line up but not enough to be clearly visibly out of line.
