Definitely not. Our resident battery test expert, @Mooch , does not list this cell in his test chart, but the manufacturer's data sheet shows a CDR ratiing of only 2 amps. This is not anywhere near adequate. In that mod, if you intend to routinely vape above 60 watts or so, I suggest Sony VTC4s. Samsung 25Rs will be OK if you only run it wide open occasionally.

Thanks Man but would it do for a bit untill I can buy a new set of batterys??
Would not recommend it at all with anything less than a 2.5 ohm coil set, and not to exceed 8 watts. I am not sure the iStick 100 can be set that low. Seriously, that's a safety hazard for fair. RTDVapor, one of the better battery vendors where you can get authentic ones, happens to be running a Black Friday sale today, 15% off. You really need better batteries. You're likely to smoke one in that iStick.

Could I use my smok xpro m80?? and I will buy some propper batteries
Let me be perfectly clear: I would not put those batteries in any vape rig at all, ever, under any circumstances. They are entirely inappropriate, intended for flashlights or made up into packs for laptops, and simply do not have the current capacity to run a heating element.

When looking for a battery for your mod, from a safety standpoint, what is important is the battery Amp/CDR (continuous discharge rating).

For a regulated mod, in VW mode, you calculate the max current draw as Max Amps = Max Wattage / Min Battery Voltage. Min battery voltage is usually calculated using 3.2 volts (this is the point your mod will no longer fire). Since the iStick requires 2 batteries I will use 6.4v (2 x 3.2v) as the voltage # in the calculations.

So Max Amps = 100 watts/6.4 volts = 15.625 Amps. Two (2) identical 20A CDR batteries will allow you to operate safely through the whole range of wattage/voltage of your devise (the iStick 100 watt).

Here are some options for 20A batteries (in descending mAh):
  • AW 3000 mAh 20A CDR
  • LG HG2 3000 mAh 20A CDR
  • Samsung 30Q 3000 mAh 20A CDR
  • Sony VTC5 2600 mAh 20A CDR
  • LG HE2 or HE4 2500 mAh 20A CDR
  • Samsung 25r 2500 mAh 20A CDR
The mAh stands for milli-Ampere-hours and indicates how much electric charge the battery can provide. For example, if you discharge your battery through a circuit that requires 1 milli-Ampere of current it will last 2500 hours before the battery runs down (if the mAh of your battery is 2500). The higher the mAh, the longer your battery will last before it needs charging.

The Smok XPro M80 plus has an internal 4000 mAh battery. You can safely use this mod.

Hi guys I have a istick 100w with 2 Samsung ICR 18650-26F batteries Would this be fine using an rda ??
Kind Regards

The istick is fine for the rda, but the batteries are not fine for the istick or other mod.

Use IMR or INR batteries, not ICR.

The ICR batteries are not safe chemistry batteries
