Sounds like the threads are stripped in the istick 510 connector.
You may be using too low resistance for the istick 30 to fire. It has a .4Ω minimum.
There are too many power devices that will fire below .4Ω to make a recommendation.
I would chose something with variable power output instead of the cf subohm.
