Need Itaste SVD help please! Circuit Board Issue

So I have looked EVERYWHERE for answers for this and found nothing. I have even consulted the owners manual! When I insert the battery into the SVD it automatically goes to a reading of 8.OP and stays there. It will not power on or off and no other buttons work. I can not return as I bought second hand from a member of this forum. Had it for a few months with no issues now this. Please help!

You might try a reset on it, but if that doesn't work, it may just be a failed board / component...

Remove the battery, and with the battery out, hold both the + and - buttons for 5 seconds or so. That's the procedure to clear the internal memory, needed if going from stacked to single batteries, so it may not do any good, but easy to try.
