Re: the original T3, I had 2 out of 4 leak..so now I am awaiting for the T3s to get here..everyone is saying they are not having issues with the new model. I have 10 coils coming. As soon as they get here I will give one a go.
I've had dozens. None have leaked. I clean them after a few weeks in a vodka soak. I eyeball all the silicon seals when I refill and always tighten the tank well. I mainly buy the Tabac BCC from heaven gifts and good prophets. They're supposed to be the same as T3's only different labels/names.
I just got some vodka because a 2 week old coil because my new flavor started tasted a bit off. I changed the coil to a new T3s. It tasted really off at first on the new one. It seems better now. I am guessing that was the priming stage. How long should I be letting a new coil sit before I use it?

That's likely the primer fluid that is put on the coils. Isn't nearly as nasty as it once was - now it's just an off taste that stays for about 5 draws. Sometimes I just puff the first draws on a new coil. As far as how long you can store a coil before using - years without any problems..... maybe longer, but I"ve used attys that I bought 3 years ago - not a problem. I put them in zip locks and bled out the air.....
Kent, that woulds be using a coil for 2 weeks, not storing it. I am pretty new to this. The juice I put in was about 1 week old..I did forget to shake when I refilled with a new coil, could that be it?

I may have misunderstood what you were asking.... As far as the primer goes, you can just vape it out - doesn't take long - filling the tank with juice and shaking it isn't going to help with the primer taste. With attys, we'd drip some pga or pg on them first and then just puff - not inhale for the first 5 or 6 puffs - that helped. You could put some unflavored, no nic PG or VG/H2O blending in first - about an 1/8 of a tank should do it. Vape that out and then fill with your flavored ejuice. Or what I would do if the primer is too nasty is pull the coil unit and soak it in vodka for about 20 minutes. I never rinse the vodka - just vape it out and there's an off taste but not for long...
