Need major help with my coil building problems...

Ok guys I've been vaping for about 5 months on a Itatse SVD and for Xmas my wife bought me a Sir lancelot mod with a plume veil. I've built probably 20 coils so far. I'm using 26 gauge wire and the problem I seem to have is every one I've made yet one of the legs heats up first. It seems fine when I test fire(w/o cotton). It seems its burning from the center out BUT once I put the cotton in i'll be vaping and ill get a harsh hit I'll check and sure enough on of the legs looks likes its heating up first. Right now its the negative post. Is the cotton just dry? or not wicked right? I'm using 100% pg juice. Any help would be great. Im usually right around .7 OHMS or so.

Definitely a photo, if possible.
But from your notes - a coil, once wicked and wet, doesn't get red-hot anymore. Now, you shouldn't get "hot legs" or harsh hits either, I'm just saying once it's wet, you no longer look for a glow from your coil, you just look for vapor!

My guess is that you're not getting nearly enough juice wicked - maybe from over-wicking or from position - but that harsh hit is MOST often due to wick not bringing enough liquid to the coil.
