I recently purchased the Vaporesoso Gemini and did my first build on it. I built to a .05hm resistance and all it well. Dry fired it and made sure the coils are heating evenly. Wicked it evenly and put it back together. This is where the problem lies. The wicks are most definitely soaked, but I am getting a bad taste, but not a dry taste. It seems like the cotton could be giving me that nasty taste. Could anyone give me some input or suggestions on how I can correct this. BTW the cotton is Koh Gen Do 100% Organic cotton if that helps out at all.

Sounds like you probably have machine oil in your device. Unfortunately, a great number of new atomizers (RTAs, RDAs, RDTAs, gennis, etc) often come with various amounts of machine oil still all over the bits and pieces. It's definitely nasty and gives off a pretty foul flavor. I've had devices that I had to scrub with a toothbrush and dish soap 6 or 7 times to finally get it all! You can also use vinegar and baking soda or even toothpaste to scrub them down. Make sure you take the device completely apart - including removal of any accessible o-rings. Get an old toothbrush and scrub the the hell out of it with warm water and dish soap (dish soap is pretty good at breaking down oils).

Good luck...

I've got the same tank, the ".05hm resistance" is bothering me possibly you mean .15 ohm which would be nickel. I do remember getting a taste that reminded me of wood at first not a big thing since I was just trying to get used to it and it went away. I'm having a problem with leaking and I've heard you should turn it upside down while screwing on the top. I just finished a dual coil nickel set up and got a pretty good flavor from it, then the leaking when I filled it up.
