I have the same issues with frenilla. Cullin - ive already subscribed to that thread but I've only tried 2mm coils, I'll have to try 3mm. Albert - my coil is 8 wraps... so probably about 4 mm long. Could I just use 4-5 wraps and run it at a lower resistance?
I do 8 wraps on a 1/8" screwdriver (3.175mm) with 26 gauge kanthal and don't have an issue with any juice at all. It comes in right around 1.0-1.1 Ohms. No matter how hard I try, I can't get a dry hit, not even at 30W. This includes the French Vanilla juice I use.
Shorten coil with less wraps. I can't wait to try. What is the minimum resistance for a kayfun and/or dna?
There isn't one for the Kayfun but you have to remember, the Kayfun can only wick/feed juice so fast. Obviously don't exceed your batteries limits but I see people vaping Kayfun's at 0.5 Ohms and some even at 0.3 Ohms. The lowest resistance a DNA 30 can handle is 0.3 Ohms. Going that low is counter productive though and you may notice that it doesn't work nearly as well as a 0.8 build at 30W.
Try the build above, 8 wraps on a 1/8" (3.175mm) post with 26 gauge kanthal. You won't be disappointed. I'm vaping it at 23.5W on a DNA 30 with a 100%VG French Vanilla/Vanilla Cupcake blend and it's delicious. The vapor is great as well.
