I've reached a point of frustration with the regular cartomizers, and not just generally use them as back up or to test new flavors. Cuttently I've been using CE3s from SI. They are better then regular cartomizers but I periodically get a burnt taste and have been having some issues with leaking. I've also tried nano clearomizers from SI. Initially I thought they were ok but they seem to be really inconsistent with burnt taste and inconsistent draw. If you haven't already gathered, I use 808 batteries. Despite all I keep hearing from veterans, I like my smaller batteries and am trying to stay away from big tank like delivery systems. Is there any other cartomizer/clearomizer I should try?

No, especially if you desire to stick with the sticks. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3230-1-proper-terminology-carto-tank-what-primer-juice-delivery-attachments.html

If you moved up a size to the Volt X2's or Volt Spinners, you'd be able to try the larger T3 clearomizers or slap a cartotank shell on an XL Volt cartomizer. (Of course, you'd have to use the silver variety, and punch your own holes to work in a tank.)

What issues with the cartomizers were you having? If it was the need for frequent filling, using them in a cartotank would eliminate that issue. Each time you take a vape it pulls additional juice from the tank into the carto for a care-free, all-day vape.

You could put one of these on your 808 XL cartos after punching them with the carto punch tool:

Pro DCTank Tube

Smoktech DCT Cartomizer Punch

I had the same hang up on the size of mods and even 650 mAh eGo batteries when I first started vaping. Bought a V2 and Volt set up and tried like hell to find something in 808 that actually worked. Never found it, and I started feeling like I was putting good money after bad trying all these different clearos.

As soon as I went to an ego twist I woundered why I had been so stubborn and hadn't made the transition earlier. I mean the kr808s served there purpose, got me interested in vaping, but as I was a former pack a day smoker I need something w/ longer battery life (and atomizers that actually worked..)

I'de say its time to transition to a 510 device, or if your still stuck on a PV in a cigarette format you might look into the eroll from joyetech or orvale.
